That the Go is not doing all that great. I have one, and I do like it (I didn't pay full price for it thank goodness), but it really was not needed. Memory options are getting larger and larger every year, and the regular slim can do the important things that the go does as well as play UMDs. And it is TOO EXPENSIVE. << The most damaging point of all. I don't know why they priced it so high in the first place. A portable device that's only 50 bucks cheaper than a PS3 in the States? Seriously?

yea the price they set it at sucks, but i have one and i don't have any complaints. i actually find it less strenuous on my wrist and hands then the regular PSP

To continuously review its sales, is utterly irrelevant. The Go! is not a different handheld. Its simply another version of the PSP.

The PSP has done extremely well as a handheld and that is the bottomline.

Do people review XBOX 360 elite, pro and arcade sales seperately aswell?

There is actually a bright side to this and I for one am glad Sony took the chance with the PSPGo.

Clearly, ppl are more willing to pay a lower price for a UMD equipped PSP. This could suggest that the PSP2 will continue the UMD drive, whereas if the GO was an astounding success, leave open the chance of a PSP2 that was only digital distribution.

I still stand by my claim in saying that the PSPGo was sony testing the waters for what they can do with the psp2, high price point, complete digital distribution.

It just shows that people don't want either yet.

Sony needs to put all PSP games on PSN as soon as possible big ISO games like Tag Force 4 and the like are usually skipped. I want more tower defense games on the Minis too. Hera Campaign and Fieldrunner were awesome.

price point is its biggest problem,but in saying that i can,t see the sales people pushing the consumer to the go. with the umd model sitting by it on the shelf.theres no point in them giving it the thumbs up wheres the profit in that.also the umd is cheaper than most downloadable content offered another no brainer for the consumer,till the price drops and the down loadable content is cheaper its going to be a slow part of the psp buisness for a while yet.got one myself and i love it great bit of kit but it won,t be main stream for quite some time

yeh if SONY blundered on anything it's the PSP. It's games get pirated worse than the Wii. so many people love the old PSp and are not going to upgrade. plus umd are cheaper than downloading PSP go games

the PSP go is SONY's last dance with handhelds. luckily the PS2 is still selling millions every year.

I think all you people are missing the point here. The go was and is never going to be meant to replace the psp. It was and is meant only as a different option for people on the go! Stop trying to look at it like a different machine. Sony's psp is still selling and I'd like to point out to you that no other handheld has come close to competing with the ds like the psp has.

Sony is partnered with Ericsson to make phones. Why didn't they put phone capabilities in their PSPGo?

Not only could they of contended against the DSi but also against the iPhone for being a true gaming platform.

Plus no touch screen features. That's absurd in this day and age of mobile.

I would've hopped on the PSPgo in a heart beat if it was also a phone.

It's... complicated.

Sony lacked a lot of synergy when the PSP released, every department for themselves.

A SE Portable would be bad news anyway though, for a company with such great quality control, Sony Ericsson phones are.... break prone. The Satio is a great phone, great features, but so many issues with it.

The Go is a fantastic little console that's fantastically overpriced and is getting the silent treament from Sony.

If:

1. It was $169 or $199 with a bundled game (good game like GoW, etc...)
2. Sony got the DD library up around 90% or so of past UMDs.
3. Sony offered a UMD trade in for game code or at least discount.

then it would be a slam dunk.
