GameFly Increases Prices Due to Postage Hike

Taken from an email from Gamefly:

"In order to continue improving our service while facing higher external costs, we're raising the monthly fee on all membership plans by $1. All accounts billed on or after June 18, 2007 will be charged at the new rate. Since we opened our doors nearly five years ago, this is the first time we've ever raised the price of our most popular two-game plan."

Oh well, it's certainly still worth it for an extra $1 a month. I'm going to demand faster ship times though!!

GameFly works out a deal for bulk shipping with the USPS. Trust me that the couple cent increase in shipping isn't accounting for an additional one dollar per subscriber. Just an excuse to get a little more of your money. If it was just to cover your shipping costs it would be cheaper then $1. That is unless you get games every couple days.

this company has the worst ship times for any online business. I cancelled with them awhile back due to me waiting 8 - 10 days to get a game every time i sent it back. And i live in DC, so its not like I am in Alaska.

But 1$ increase isn't too bad if it doesn't take to long to ship to you wherever you live.

IVE rented every xbox 360 game that has come out, ive saved at least 3000$ and been able to keep the games i want and return the crap. for games a month for 40 bucks i get everything. soon ill be gettin madden, darkness, juarez, and already got forza. next ill get halo 3, half life orange box, assassins creed, and mass effect. i gotta sacrifice other games till later like bioshock, gta4 and too human, this shi% is hard gotta balace bioshock, gta4, halo 3 with only 4 games at a time, id take 6 for 60 a month if they offered it.

my account to gamefly but it seems that every game that i try to check out was out..including games that suck big time aka bomberman anyways i decided not to reactive good thing i didnt cause i agree with ace385 they take a long time to ship you a game.
