DirectX 11 is the newest version of the API and it offers the greatest range of features. If you're already running Windows 7, you're all set, since it's included with Microsoft's latest operating system. But what about the thousands upon thousands of gaming PCs still running Windows Vista? After all, having taken a fair bit of criticism for the way it handled DirectX 10, Microsoft says it has learned from its past mistakes and promises to do better this time around.
The message is clear: Windows Vista will be able to upgrade from DirectX 10 to version 11. Windows XP, on the other hand, is stuck with DirectX 9. End of story.
VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "As debut indie games go, Hauntii is among the best you’ll find, and it's one that shares elements with such critical darlings as Super Mario Odyssey and the Ori titles. Those would be big shoes for anyone to fill, but Hauntii dives right into the task while firing on all cylinders, from the novelty of its gameplay, to the wide array of emotions found in its story and music, and while it might not be able to compete with the very best when it comes to pure polish, the high points of the experience can match even those gaming giants."
Pilestedt writes: "Hey everyone,
Big update, I've decided to hire @ShamsJorjani as the new CEO of @ArrowheadGS ! We go way back and I wouldn't trust the business in any other hands than his. (...and he comes with an impressive resume and love for games)
But what about me and my involvement in @Helldivers2 ? Well, I'm glad you asked! I am taking the role of Chief Creative Officer, which means I will spend MORE time with the team and 100% of my focus on the games and community!"
The teaser trailer for the next entry in Activision's Call of Duty series, Black Ops 6, has been revealed.
we need Sonys concord to turn out good - so I dont have to buy this.,
1, its time for a change,
2, mw3 has so much content its a joke, will keep me busy for when I fancy scratching the 'itch for twitch'
Good multiplayer games that have content updates every so often, or a lot of content to begin with don't need sequels every year, ones that have all that are good for a few years to keep you playing.
For anyone that couldn't be bothered to read the article ( which you should to as it tells you how to update) windows already has the script to enable the dx11 update for vista...microsoft is conveniently holding the update back so that people rush out to buy win7 for dx11, but if you follow the easy guide you can unlock the update now, and windows updater will automatically download the rest of the update ( which is being held back for service pack 3)
