Gaming Age: Rapala: We Fish Review

Gaming Age writes: "Well, talk about taking a franchise in a whole different direction, Fun Labs has definitely moved this year's Rapala Fishing title to a completely different area of play than last year's Fishing Frenzy. I'm not entirely convinced the move was for the best, and while I had some issues with the last entry, this one, dubbed "We Fish", is a little bit of a mess control wise, and the content just isn't as compelling to me this time around. That said, where the first couple titles on the Wii were definitely directed to an older crowd, this game is far entrenched in the party game mentality that's generally pretty popular for Wii titles, but that doesn't necessarily make the game fun to play."

Rapala: We Fish - ZTGD Review

ZeroTolerance writes: The Wii continues to dictate how games are presented on the console. The latest is example is Rapala: We Fish, which is a follow-up to the realistic Fishing Frenzy that was released a year ago. The difference this time around is that the developers has completely switched the game around to be more casual-friendly, and of course feel more like a party game instead of a downright simulation. I guess playing to what works is the norm in the business these days, but for a game like We Fish it just doesn't mesh well. The Rapala series has always been better as a serious fishing game; this comes across as simply a wasted effort.

Crispy Gamer: Games for Lunch: Rapala: We Fish

Would Crispy Gamer play this game for more than an hour 50 minutes? No.
Why? They are not an eight-year-old fishing fanatic who received this game (his first and only Wii title) for Christmas from his loving but impoverished parents, and that's the only reason they can imagine for anyone enjoying this game.
