PS3 Bayonetta Experiencing Frame-Rate Issues?

Split-Screen: "Bayonetta, the titular character of Platinum Games' and Sega's next big action extravaganza, runs silky smooth and kicks ass six ways from Sunday – in all three planes of existence, nonetheless – but word on the street has it that she's not running so smoothly on the Playstation 3."

LOL
@below. Foxgod = well known ps3 basher. you get the point of him approving this article.
@bodygamer: Nike got the point, I'm sure you'll get it too.

Nike5318d ago (Edited 5318d ago )

Um, okay.

Your point being?

Edit: Oh. Um. Okay.

But this seems to be only in the Japanese version thus far. Chances are they should have it fixed by the time it hits stateside.

Bodyboarder_VGamer5318d ago

That foxgod is a big PS3 hater and troll maybe?

-GoldenTimeLover-5318d ago

I dont see why you dont get the point. Foxgod is a massive bot. He immediately approved because he just wants to bash the PS3. Look at his profile, ignored by 131 users.
@Gabe: LOL its Bodyboarder_VGamer, not bodygamer. You must be in a rush or something. :P

Due to poor SPU and GPU it was a matter of time. And these are FACTS with a lot of hard research and countless hours on the internet and speaking to IBM.

Nike5318d ago

I don't know about hard research and whatnot, but this was taken following impressions gathered by gamers who played the game in Japan. As stated before, this is in the demo version that was shown, so the final game should have these issues ironed out.

As such, it's doubtful whether we'll see these bugs stateside since they have a good 3 months more of bug-testing to make the game just right for the PS3.

"speaking to IBM"

You spoke to IBM? LOL... of course you did. You know, when changing for account name, it might be a wise move to also adjust your writing style.

PirateThom5318d ago

I also spoke to IBM, they told me you tried to get into their building by slipping "something" in the security guard's ear, before he beat you with a steel mug full of coffee.

What happened on that day at IBM?

What did you try to slip into his ear?

Not really the word on the street, more the word on Kotaku http://www.n4g.com/News-401...

Personally I wouldnt be surprised if the 360 slightly out does the PS3 here, seeing firstly it's a multiplatform game, but more importantly the developers have handed the porting duties over to Sega. The fact it's a "port" doesnt really instil confidence. Although a Sega rep has remarked that the game will be the same come launch so wait an see I guess and make your decisions then. I imagine any differences will be minor, yet blown out of proportion.

Personally, I'm not overly interested at this point (might change with more info), looks just like DMC, which unfortunately doesnt seem to cut it with me anymore, but largely, I'm not too keen on playing as a half naked chick with hair ball manifestations for a special moves. I've always found the cheap use of nudity in games a turn off (ironically). Perhaps I'm just getting old.

Nike5318d ago

Agreed with all of the above.

I don't know about Bayonetta's moves as such. She's got some really awesome looking weapons, and though they were odd at first, the mix of hair attacks did do to change the pace to what could have been a DMC clone. That said, many elements like the evil counterpart, wacky combos, hammed voice acting (what's up with all the fake British accents in the English versions?) and gigantic multi-tiered bosses do feel directly lifted DMC.

HighDefinition5318d ago

No one cares. It`s common knowledge the PS3 is the more capable system. If Bayonetta does have issues it`s not because it`s too "heavy" for the PS3.

End of conversation.

HolyOrangeCows5318d ago

Don't make articles about it until you don't need to put a ''?'' in the title.

droid and bot5318d ago

this is what i like about the PS3
you always got alternatives

i mean PS3 only owners can skip this and go straight to god of war

but anyway
i don't think this is an big issue

Jinxstar5318d ago

With everything else coming out this game is way low on my radar anyway.

Kleptic5318d ago

um...well...if the ps3 can only run games like uncharted 2 or killzone 2...how can it run a game like bayonetta?...

i love drinking...

Blaze9295318d ago

might as well just made this a timed 360 exclusive so that Platinum Games could work on it when they where through with the 360 version or hell, just a 360 exclusive in general.

I don't know any PS3 owner who is going to buy this game now after hearing all the problems that version is having compared to the 360 version. Its 200 freakin 9; why pay for a broken game compared to another version that runs as it should becuase some developers don't understand how to do things.

pixelsword5318d ago (Edited 5318d ago )

How people are trying to act like PS3 fans care more about a DMC clone (Bayonetta) that's "broken" (not all, because I am interested in Bayonetta myself),

but at the same time downplaying that PS3 fans might care about a Gears of War clone (Quantum Theory) that isn't broken and also has pretty sharp graphics.

I also see that no one has yet compared Gears and Quantum yet, and probably won't for a while, but we see a whole bunch of Forza 3 and GTP match-ups... while very few Forza 3 and GT5 match-ups exist.

and I wonder why Bayonetta and Devil May Cry hasn't been matched-up yet?

I mean, Prototype and inFAMOUS has been up until the launch of both games;

I wonder if they didn't because DMC and Bayonetta are both multiplatform games, and DMC ran smoothly on both.

I guess you make better flamebait articles on Bayonetta alone.

PS3 only has 256MB so i'm not surprised it has Frame-Rate.

Nike5318d ago

PS3 has a GPU, so i'm not surprised it [the game] has a frame-rate :D

HighDefinition5318d ago

I can`t believe your STILL doing this. Seriously, this has been a good 3-4 years you`ve been at this talking the same smack. Do realize how many times you`ve said the same thing differently? It`s sad man, really sad.

Good luck w/ the rest of your life, If a SYSTEM can piss you off enough to talk smack about it for 4 years. Your gonna HATE adulthood.

jack_burt0n5318d ago (Edited 5318d ago )

we will all know the facts in 24hrs <cos the demo hits the psn>, so this crap is pointless

<edit>

Nike5318d ago (Edited 5318d ago )

What's happening in 24 hours? The end of the world? :D

Edit: Ah. Okay.
