Honestly I don't want Uncharted 3 until at least 2012. Uncharted 2 is going to own my PS3 for a while, and I want that experience to be completely gone, so I can be reminded of how great this franchise is once U3 comes out.

I'm not in a huge hurry to see Jak and Daxter for the PS3 either since Ratchet and Clank has been holding things down on it's own (Sly could wait as well).

I want to see Insomniac finish Resistance for 2010 and make a new IP for 2011, I want to see InFamous 2 from Sucker punch 2011, and I want a new IP from Naught Dog in 2011 (if that happens U3 isn't coming until 2013).

Those 3 companies made great platformers on the PS2, made great games for the PS3, now I'm ready for something else. I think Insomniac needs to make a survival horror shooter, Sucker Punch needs to make a Stealth Action game, and Naughty Dog needs to make a sports game. I'm joking about Naughty Dog they need to stick with Adventure games, because right now their the kings of it.

It would be sweet to get a portable version of the game. I would also bet that naughty dog would find a way to add stuff not found in the umd release.

You figure sony is all about moving forward and even though they removed the umd from the go they will find a way to get people to switch over by way of extra content not on umd.

Not that it is a bad thing but it could very well happen.

Me personally, I want Naughty Dog to go back and do one more Jak and Daxter PS3 game to close off the franchise, then do another Uncharted game next to close off this generation.

I know a lot of people on here probably don't want to see them do Jak and Daxter for the PS3 because not a lot of people have even played the series, but I totally LOVED the franchise last gen. and bought all of em'... I would love to see what ND could do with Jak and Daxter on the PS3.

The only way that I would want another Uncharted game right away is if Naughty Dog changes the Single Player gameplay around to be a bit different than the previous 2 games (like an Open World Free Roaming game, or kind of like MGS3 with Survival elements in the game, etc..) but if Uncharted 3 is just going to be more of the same that we've seen with the previous games, I want another Jak and Daxter from Naughty Dog next.

Yeah, the Jak and Daxter games were some of the best platformers out there but I wouldn't want them to go back to them. You know they can spit out high quality games so might as well start on something new.

@1.3-I think it's more usual that gamers like me who've grown up with splitscreen as the ONLY direct way of competing with mates are the ones clamouring for it's inclusion in most cases these days.

Being honest about this I think that a lot of newer/younger gamers haven't had many games that DO include S/S and therefore don't see it as an important feature-also we all play a lt more online these days and maybe most people feel they get enough "social" gaming, and on a larger scale if they like(or as small with something like Co-op or a "horde" style mode), from their buddies on broadband.

Whatever, it just doesn't seem that fashionable for developers these days(maybe because of the latter reason above?)and they often use the "couldn't do it at the same quality" as, or "would damage the quality" of, singleplayer if they did stick it in. Thing is I've even enjoted two player S/S duals and the like on games as generally lacklustre as Red Steel on Wii this gen-even in a game that pulls up very few trees(of any great quality)I can have a decent S/S co-op session or shootout.

I just don't know how they first decided to stop offering this as a standard kind of feature(certain that the move away is a facy rather than in our tired gamer minds though)-couldn't even say when it started to disappear either but any game with it is, I feel, worth a punt when it's become so rare.

I'd love, obviously, to see where they would have taken a S/S mode with Uncharted. Sniper duals around the vertically interesting maps would be cool and tense affairs I feel and, obviously, you could have two/four player(at a big push if you want any gfx with decent fidelity kept!)co-op modes from the online game but I'm sure they could come up with something amazing if they had decided to do it.

Basically, though(and I've had the convo before), I think there just aren't that many of us into the S/S anymore-maybe when a few new gamers used to sharing games in the same room on the Wii have their tastes in games expanded we might see a bigger push back toward s/s? I know most Wii games for more mature tastes don't even have the feature but practically all the casual stuff does and that's going to be what many gamers, in future, will remember from when they started gaming-that they liked playing MKWii against their brothers and mums and dads and mates and, hopefully will demand it alongside old gimmers like myself(I wouldn't dare presume that your good self was a decrepit oldr gamer though!).

Have you not played the Peace Walker demo yet? The controls are surprisingly perfect. They were pretty bad in Portable Ops but you've got to hand it to Kojima when he comes up with the most unique controls for the PSP on his first project (MGS:PW).

The great thing is they'd transition excellently to Uncharted on the PSP.

Analogue stick - move character,
face buttons (x,o,etc.) - move camera / aim when shooting,
L - hold to aim weapon / tap to reload,
R - tap to jump / melee when near enemy / shoot (when aiming) / hold to blind-fire (not aiming),
d-pad:
down - roll / cover / hang,
left/right - weapon switch,
up - pick up / action button / zoom when aiming.

If the difference between tapping and holding doesn't work too well, reload could be reallocated to select and blind-fire cut out when not in cover.

They may sound complex but MGSPW's similar controls soon feel intuitive.

I'd like to see online AND offline split or single screen Co-op for the entire campaign mode in the next Uncharted, and not just the Co-op mode being offered with Uncharted 2. The PS3 doesn't have many games with Co-op featured for the main campaign - Uncharted 3 would be a good fit for it, IMO.

I so would love to see Uncharted on the PSP. I also would love to see may it be a spin-off with Elena as the main character. Would be a new way to look at the Uncharted Universe and could be pretty cool. As for Jak & Daxter on the PS3 that would be really sweet news. Even better would be if Naughty Dog could work on two games at the same time and release one a year. Like what Insomniac does. I can't wait until I can play Uncharted 2 and can't wait to see what the future holds for Naughty Dog too.

It was made around the PSOne's technical shortcomings. If they were to make a new, fun, one today, the mechanics would need to be changed, otherwise it would be seen as outdated. And if the mechanics changed, the fans would get mad.

Now I can take a crap and play Uncharted at the same time. Sweet! ND would most def. push the graphics on the PSP as well. I would picture something closely resembling Uncharted Drake's F.

"Evan Wells: This has been a very confusing point for a lot of people. What we said was the Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune was using only 30% of the Cell processor, not 30% of the power of the PS3. There are 6 SPU’s on the Cell and it takes quite a bit of effort to keep them all busy 100% of the time. With the first Uncharted, we were only able to keep them from being idle, about 1/3 of the time. So when we started production on Uncharted 2, our programmers dove in and started moving more and more of our systems onto the SPU’s and by the end of the project we were able to hit 100% usage. So all that means is that there is no idle time, but it does not mean that we can’t be more optimized with what we’re doing. Been on and online now for two days. Few things I'd like to see fixed, changed.

A little map window. The no map at all has everyone playing like a free for all. Everyone is just running every direction just looking and shooting.

The Spawning, it seems player's spawn where ever. Even the other team can spawn in your area behind you. Countless times I'd just enter the game and all of a sudden. Someone is shooting me from behind were the map ends and there was no way to get behind me. This add's the the "free for all " comment above.

The eye focus system, Though nice and new to the online world. It's distracting to keep trying to look for bad guys when the screen is blurry. Unless I stick my head way out there to get spotted or shot off, lol.

The match making system. As we all know, the higher the rank in this game. The better perks they will have. So if you go into a game and you see the other team is way stacked compared to yours. You know it's a lost cause. The much higher added perks are to much to over come for the much lower level player's.

It's a fun game, has great potential indeed. Some lag here and there which seems to be the norm in online gaming. You do rank up pretty fast and cash points never seems to be an issue. I've invested about only 3 hours total game time and I'm level 13 with 120k in the bank and have all the perks at my level limit.

...only because without mics any coordination in multiplayer is VERY tough. I've will rarely play multiplayer with random people unless I see the mic icon flashing by their name before the match starts. So I suggest playing with friends because you'll have a much better and much more amazing experience, it's also MUCH more strategic and coordinated.

EDIT: For Supa. If you join a match with a friend and they are a lower level then it is possible for you to be matched up with several lower level player. I joined a match with a pal level 7 he invited another friend level 20 and went into multiplayer. Everyone else in both parties was level 10 and lower. Made for a very lopsided match :(

We move in a group of 5 just mowing them down as they ran around solo trying to kill folks. I can send you the video if you PM me your PSN ID.

I look at the rank shields in every game. Which indicate the level on them and there all different colors in each rank bracket. Like 1 to 9 is green, then turns blue at level 10. Then came some red ones, a gold one as I played on. I knew these player's were from the first beta code preorder. So they have unlocked most all the perks and they know the game very well. So as figured, most all those matches were very one sided. Like in the game Plunder, we would get zero treasure scored and they would get all 5 like nothing. This pattern goes on for all the games. So it's nice to get on a stacked team if your a lower level guy, lol :D

Absolutely correct on the Mic's. With no map direction, a Mic is a must in this game. So many times you need to communicate to player's to work together and with no mic. It's rather pointless as everyone is just running around wild. More so for player's on your team that are really clueless. More so in the Co-Op and objective games.

I only agree with some of your comments. I do agree that the game needs a mini map/radar of everyone on their own team. Its scope can be much smaller than all the other shooters out there. But it's still necessary to have one in order to coordinate movement with your teammates. It's impossible to keep track of where your teammates are going. It's not impossible in real life because our real viewpoint is much larger than our TV/screen.

I only encountered the spawn problem a few times. I think the original idea was to make sure you spawn with your teammates instead of alone. But I do sometimes feel like you can spawn right next to the enemy and be shot down immediately.

I experienced no lag except the occasional lag from one other player (not the rest of the game or other players). The one lagging player usually gets booted off immediately. Perhaps this is a protection from lagswitchers.

Sometimes the ranks aren't balanced because they're in a squad/party. It's not fair to expect them to split up if they're in a dedicated squad/party. Outside of an actual squad/party, I found no issues with team balancing.

I do feel that the chain reaction game mode ends way too quickly. There needs to be a change in the mechanics of that game mode to extend the gameplay.

I have zero issues with the eye focus system. I'm glad they implement it. I get annoyed by people who run around with their gun up to their nose. It's unrealistic.

Nice reply, sorry for the long delay in response. Had business to tend too today. I guess I'll address on points not agreed on as really it boils down to a user preference. Then touch on other subjects of interests.

Lag, the lag I speak of was with some player's seeming nearly bulletproof from death. In cases where it was two on one ( us 2 vs 1 of them ). They were able to not only kill my teammate but myself as well. As we both fired at different location ( say 3 o clock and 6 o clock. ). Then came nade proof player's. In most all these cases it was higher ranked player's. I didn't dare throw out the word " Lag Switch " just yet. Although I am very very familiar with it's use from cheater's on MGO ( Metal Gear Online ). But we can clearly see each player's signal bar before each game. As they most fluctuate in signal strength. This may be the issue in game as those player's have very weak signals that or are using a device we mentioned.

As far as ranks. I wasn't making a guesstimation statement but rather a factual one. For those looking for insight as to what to expect. As your statement makes prefect sense, since we all have been in or are a part of some clan in any given online game. We could see the unbalance. As for you finding no issue. Well, I'm certainly not making it up and I've seen the topic already come up on other game forums. It's not every game, but it is happening.

As for the eye focus. This is a user preference. As it gave me a tension headache behind my eyes when I awoke today from playing all last night. The constant normal reaction of my eyes trying to focus in on what the game kept blurry over and over is very straining. We all understand the " realism " factor. I even thought about it before I type that response. But it just kept being an annoyance trying to focus myself. As for player's running around with their guns up, etc. They are doing that anyway in this game. Like we know, it's a free for all with anyone spawning anywhere at any given time.

Yes, we see the green indicators on the sides of the screen given us some indication of our player's where about's. But it lacks distance and that is key. You will find yourself looking at the arrows and running in that direction not knowing yet that they really are on the other side or the map. The you get intercepted by the other team who will be traveling in a pack of say 2 or 3. Then you are toast. So the whole time you are feeling alone and running to find them and watching for the other team. Like an open battlefield, lol.

I don't know about you guys but I am sick of seeing watered down games on that system. Games like Gran Turismo, Metal Gear and Uncharted need to be on PS3 only, instead of being whored out for a few extra bucks and a much inferior game. I can only think of a few games overall that are good as console and handheld games.
