It would be good if the faces didn't look so warped. Just makes the game look "cheap" to me. The NA box art really captures the essence of Uncharted 2 imo.

It's Nathan Drake in an "OH SHI-!" situation. What could be better than that?

I think thats what they were going for with the japanese version too. Only more of an old school movie poster. Reminds me alot of old bruce lee movie posters, or pretty much anything by roger kastel, the border to the image definitely reminds me of his work on the poster for jaws.

In other words, I like it! ALOT! Would love to have this version of the box art, would stand out so well among all my other games with their photoshopped/digital box art.

Another thing I meant to add but forgot, I think it was a great idea going with this boxart, for the first game to properly blur the line between games and movies (so we've heard anyways) what better choice than to have an old school style poster from an era when action movies were at their greatest.

I bet they did a lot of research into Japanese advirtising, because that box art is very Japanese. The first game didn't do so well in Japan, and it was probably because the first box art didn't really cater towards Japanese Culture(It was virtually the same as the NA one). This one could do significantly better because of the box art.

Personally though, the box art is pretty lame, but again, for Japan I think it should do pretty well.

WhatEVER they have to do to appeal to the masses on both western or eastern shores. Both artworks are excellent by me, if you want to use "better" in Uncharted 2, then it must be compared to something "else"?

First, the Zorin Lazarevic should have crazy eyes grinning like a fool and be licking a knife.
Chloe should have size triple z breasts and a skirt short enough to show off her panties. also stockings that only go up to her thighs.

Drake himself should have black hair and it should look all messed up with a 5 inch pony tail. he should also be wearing a Japanese junior high school uniform with one shirt tail pulled out.

Also, they need to get rid of Sully off the cover, and put Elena wearing the same body and outfit as Chloe.

Now just have the women rubbing all over Drake as he has a nose bleed and we are done.

A sure Hit in the Japanese market!!!

Almost all Japanese don't feel it's manga.
It's looks like cover of old adventure story (or posters of old movie) for us.

SCEJ made it because they was dissatisfied with sales of the last work to changing the atmosphere of the box art of the second game.

I think that the change is an aim of the person who likes not the person who jumps at a famous title but adventure film.

Actually , "UNCHARTED" is not famous in japan.
However, there seem to be a lot of game players who are looking forward because it knows the reputation in foreign countries of this game recently.
Some of them like this box art. It is pros and cons.
