TenchuZ demo has been released on the marketplace, but only in Japan. Was anyone else looking forward to this?

The Xbox team has been on a bit of a hiatus in updating the Xbox One’s core software, as the holidays were dedicated to making sure that everything worked for the many new owners of the console, and on adding features for developers. Looks like the same will happen next month, while more features for end users will come in early 2015. On the other hand January will see a big Windows 10 event, and Spencer is excited to share both Windows and Xbox plans.
I'm anxious to know what these plans are and what features will go to these developers
I also want to see the advancements from the latest SDK and how well holiday 2015 games perform with Directx 12
Games are already looking great and these things will only make Xbox One better :)

my guess is its some program going to tie in pc-xbo closer together.
if Phil is excited about the January event then i should definitely be too. Hope we get some awesome announcements though. lookimg forward to it.

It's good x1 is improving, but Let's not over hype dx12 for x1.
Even spencer himself had to clarify it. I am sure it will improve, but just as other consoles are improving if not at faster rate.
Ok.i will say it: I am excited too. Want to see what all the hoopla is going to mean for X1 and other Windows platforms.
Replies(2)Curious to truly see the actual improvements dx12 will give xb1. The esram sdk recently is going to be a big help. MS are doing great supporting xb1 with continual improvements.
Discussing the ninja stealth genre and how the selection of games is very lacking.
I agree. It's unfortunate that FromSoft chose to make the last 2 Tenchu games Xbox 360 and XBLA exclusive because I didn't get a chance to play them, but it's a great series and I hope FromSoft will make another soon. I love stealth games, especially the ones that don't rely on guns in any way. Kinda feels more personal to be up close when you assassinate someone you know?
Wow, that game looks awesome. I didn't know about Shinobido. Too bad I don't have a Vita though. But it's nice to know there is another game. Still, the genre is seriously lacking in games.
@Summons75: Yeah, Tenchu Z was reviewed as being an average game at best. Nothing like the past games. But just because one game (not counting the XBLA title) wasn't up to the previous standards doesn't mean that can't change or that a new king can come along.
I actually think Tenchu Z was awesome. Best controls and camera in the whole series and more open levels like the first two games.
I think the only reason its frowned upon is the quality just doesnt stack up to other modern games. Compared to the other Tenchu's but it great.
The first 4 Tenchu installments were awesome. There's a serious lack of Ninja games in the gaming industry nowadays.
yeah, but Tenchu is but a shadow of it's former self now. It's not as good as it use to be.
I still have those old games. There was definitely a hell of a lot more room for improvement than the developers decided to actually use, but I wouldn't go so far as to say that the games are "worse".

What I dont get is that Ninjas and stealth are so fkn cool. Why is no one tapping into that. Why are all the stealth titles becoming action games?
The only game that really came close to Tenchu for me, (and isnt even a Ninja game) is Manhunt. I love hiding in the shadows for minutes at a time, just waiting for the right time to pounce and take another scalp. Literally in Manhunt.
Please someone give me another Tenchu and Manhunt game !!

we would need both sony and microsoft to release an exclusive ninja style game on their console to compliment their console capabilities.
the exclusive competition alone can raise hype to an nex gen release... dont you guys miss the 2 companies going at each others neck.
anyway we the gamers need variety otherwise we'll be playing the same game different name.
unfortunately, just like the stealth genre, so many games have been dumbed down, or relegated to a "one button does everything" mentality.

I thought it was posted on this site that this demo was coming out in the States....well that blows! I am a pretty big fan of the series!
I'm a Tenchu fan and multiple co-op looks pretty sweet. I really want to play the demo first, as the reviews haven't been stellar. gCM
