OPM to Have First UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves Review

PS Blog writes: We're less than a month out from the launch of UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves and we're starting to see reviews come in. We just received the November issue of PlayStation: The Official Magazine in the studio which has the first world review of UNCHARTED 2. Subscribers should have this issue in the mail any time now and, if you don't have a subscription, you can pick up a copy from newsstands in the next couple of weeks.

Cracking open the issue, which features UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves as its cover, we were totally thrilled to see that our game received a perfect 5/5 AND the Editors' Choice award for the month! We've been working incredibly hard over the past two years to make UNCHARTED 2 the best game we've made yet and we're all smiles to hear that we're not the only ones who think we've got something really great on our hands.

will it sell less than ODST, yes, because XBOX360 has a larger instal base than the ps3, and god knows everyone who owns an xbox will buy ODST. it doesnt mean at all though that ODST is the better game, besides, ODST will mean nothing when MWF2 comes out.
If you own a ps3, you should buy this game, or first, rent Drakes Fortune then this. Its going to be a good game,no question, just, its looking like it deserves a buy.

Edit: @Marcelles. Money is not everything. GH devs spend less work on GH and yet they get more money than most other harder working devs, same with wii sports etc etc.

Now my question is. Who do you think people respect more?. GH devs or ND?. Who do you think will have better job prospects in the development community?.

Speaking relative is not right because even if Bungie earns more. ND could still earn alot of money AND enhance their reputation as well. I am talking about millions here. My point is, even if Bungie earns more dosn't mean that ND will be out in the streets looking for new jobs. Uncharted will sell well and it will get ND lots of money, not as much as bungie but still alot of money.

I get Halo 3 ODST first then the beast which is Uncharted 2 followed by both Ratchet and Clank or Forza 3. This is a great year for 'gamers'. Love my 360 and PS3 and now my new PC. This just confirms what I've been saying all this time. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune was destined for greatness. I remember when it was first revealed close to four years ago. The tech demo wasn't overly impressive, but the underlying mechanics and focus gave pause. It wasn't that this was ND's version of Indiana Jones or the equivalent of a male Tomb Raider, there was something special here. You could feel it. There was something about it that just made it click.

It's hard to explain: the average Joe in over his head, the damsel that preferred saving others opposed to being rescued, the incredibly intense gunfights despite the sun warming your back, the half tucked shirt. It just clicks. I can't explain it. Nevertheless, I knew there was something special here.

Then I realized, THIS is the next generation; the first game to successfully merge game design and the cinematic formula present in some of the best movies of all time. This is our defining franchise. The one we will look back on for generations to come. Cherish it: PS3 and 360 gamers alike. There may never be a better game. Until Uncharted 3 that is. This is a game that just has to be played. No exceptions!

Everyone better have this preordered. Mark you calendars ladies and gents. Just 29 days left. 29!

His duties as vice president of strategy and business development for the company's Interactive Entertainment Business sector will be filled by Phil Spencer, general manager of Microsoft Game Studios, and Dennis Durkin, chief financial officer for the IEB division.

Okay, he didn't really say that. However, a Microsoft representative reportedly told Gamasutra that Kim "expressed a desire to spend more time with family, so that's why he's making his retirement." More details about the two-decade Microsoft veteran's departure should be coming in a press release soon. We wish Mr. Kim the best of luck with his newly acquired free time.

I don't think they're biased. It's not like they gave Haze or Lair a 9/10. And this year they gave inFamous an 8/10. So if what your saying is believed, you would of expected a 10/10 from them with inFamous but that isn't the case. Hell, they even gave R2 an 8/10.
The only PS3 exclusive games they have gave a perfect score to is LBP and MGS4(I think).

I kind of expected this score. Not because its coming from PTOM but because I expected the game to just be that good. Glad to know I wasnt wrong. Or maybe I should say glad to know i was wrong. Until I played the beta back in June of the MP and Co-Op I didnt think Uncharted 2 should have any of that added on to the Single Player. But after playing it and now after seeing these scores come out I can say i was wrong for every doubting ND on that part.

When it was announced i knew it will be my 2009 GOTY and then the annoucement about MP really pissed me off. I am a SP gamer at heart which is why i loved U1 so freaking much. However after seeing what they have done with MP i am really looking forward to MP as well.

We got assurance from ND that the SP will not be compromise as well which is excellent.

well put it this way i was born in 1989 and when the first pokemon arrived i was hmmmm grade two or three. and it was crazy everyone including me were buying them trading them at school, people were rippin little kids off then in a matter of a year two kids stopped at least my age, and even if u liked it u had to like it secretly cuz majority labeled pokemon as uncool and besides little kids and wierd people that cant let go of theyre child hood, pokemon is not cool anymore. dont get me wrong i secretly enjoyed it for awhile but what i was saying is that it was a fad, it started off real strong and crazy like halo, but now as everyday passes it is fading. and like someone said on this site before theyre milking both. in my opinion pokemon was the ideal comparison to prove my point that halo is a gimmick and i hope it dies. the only cool pokemon was when i was like 7 and theyre were only 152 or so pokemon and theyre was only red pokemon, blue pokemon games i cant rember if theyre was a green game its so long ago. now its just a joke.

all I have to say is right now STOP the fanboy sh!t and get a PS3 with MGS4, KZ2, inFAMOUS, R2, MS2 and Uncharted and get Uncharted 2, Heavy Rain, Gran Turismo 5, MAG and God of War 1,2,3 when they are released. Those are just a few games and Sony will announce more.
