T3 reports that Apple has plans for a tiny, non-touch phone, according to new documents from a patent application. It will have a traditional scroll wheel round the back with the idea being that as you touch the scroll wheel, the display shows semi-transparent controls on the front.
Apple's new clickwheel is also force sensitive, meaning a light touch will make the menu selection hover, while a firmer prod makes a selection. It isn't that much of a surprise as T3 said that they knew the iPhone was going to be the first in a range of mobiles from Apple.
