Miner Wars Coming to Xbox Live Arcade

Keen Software House today released new Miner Wars video and screenshots, revealing very large but still-destructible asteroids. The video was captured from the actual game and the scene contains two 8-km asteroids, five medium-size asteroids, and 300 mining ships.

"In this footage we tried to show how your mining ship is small compared to the biggest asteroid. Even your base ship is little compared to them. All asteroids are fully destructible," says Marek Rosa, Game Director of Miner Wars.

"I guess that in a few years we will be able to reach the moon's size. It is only 400 times bigger than our asteroids. Think about it – a fully destructible moon," laughs Marek.

PCG:Perhaps if I keep my fingers jammed on the fire and boost buttons, and my eyes fixed on that stunningly beautiful asteroid, I’ll stop noticing how disappointing this space sim is.

'Miner Wars' Launches Beta

Miner Wars a long time project from Keen Software House has finally reached Beta after being in development for almost a decade (although most of this was as a part time project). On the back of this beta release Keen Software House have published their most interesting trailer so far. Containing some of the finalized voices, along with showcasing some storyline progression and….. Pirates!
