Hackers threaten 1 vs 100 as problems emerge

EXACTLY! I messaged one of them to see if I would get a reply. Out of the 10 I messaged who were the one (all with low gamerscores) and who won some MS points, only one replied saying he got the email for his points and it is legit. But it's still funny and weird how total noobs are being picked to be the one instead of Xbox LIVE vets.

I still think something is fishy about this 1 vs 100 stuff. Either hackers or Microsoft fooling everyone by making bots and/or dummy accounts so they really arent loosing any money giving away points and prizes.

that there are hackers in 1vs100 but the video is proof neither way. Ive had plenty of messgaes from people who say they are hackers and i know people who pretend to work for Infinityward and other companies online just to mess with the other people playing and threaten them with bans for trivial things just to play with thier heads. In the uk ive seen people with as low as 100GS playing and some with 50,000GS+ playing the one or the Mob. Time will tell if people are hacking this.

I'm pretty sure you are chosen to be 'The One' based on how well you do in Extended Play, therefore gamerscore doesn't matter a single bit.

I would like to clear up the misinformation here. Gamerscore means jack crap when it comes to choosing The One or The Mob. It all depends on how you do during the Extended Play sessions.

As for hackers, it is still in Beta, better to find them now then later.

Xbox 360 and Xbox LIVE use encrypted VPN tunnels between the Xbox and LIVE.

I'd be *very* curious how they could "hack" *any* game.

DoS is possible perhaps on PvP -- as *anything with an IP can be DoSsed -- but being selected as 1vs100 would require you to manipulate your scoring, as that is what enables you to be selected.

The word "hacker" is being thrown around far too loosely. It's just a bunch of tits making new accounts (which come with 1 month gold) and answering a few questions correctly. My friend played for the first time two weeks ago and after answering 6 questions correctly (100% lifetime record) he managed to get into The Mob.

This is not hacking. It's just a poor selection process.

The fact that you can create a new account and be in a position to win prizes after answering only six questions shows that the selection process needs be stricter. Whether that prohibits people with extremely low gamerscore or very low lifetime scores from being in a position to win prizes is Microsoft's decision. Regardless, it's clear that the current system is open for abuse and something needs to change otherwise each week we'll watch the same group of idiots take our potential mob positions and win our prizes.

i stopped playing 1vs100 regularly after playing it about every time possible for the first few weeks with a 90%+ accuracy record I have yet to even be in the mob

the selection process is weird, i've seen the one lose on the first question many times

i'm also very suspicious of people who answer every answer correct with 0.0 reaction time...that is impossible

there are some people out there who have never missed a question and no delay to their answer...I can't figure that out

...maybe it's because it getting the time from your perspective, minus any delay (I don't want to call it "lag" because it's not lag) and you only see the result; for example, let's say someone from England gets a question, but he slams the button in .65 seconds, but the delay between you and him would be .7 seconds before it shows that he replied; between that question and his answer from your perspective, you'll only see 0.0 responce time.

I actually don't know, and I'm not trying to defend cheaters, but I would think Microsoft is very adept at keeping hackers out of their software... not that you suggested that they couldn't, but I think there's a answer to this that is maybe simpler that what we all realize.

KZ2: Fun at first now just sucks, I traded it in a while ago.
Infamous: was ok but got really repetative, however the Ucharted2 beta was sweet.
Demon souls: Not into RPG's at all so no thanks.
MLB 09: No thanks rather play Madden or UFC
Fat princess: Looked interesting but looked like the same game type as castle crashers. So I'll wait till the price drops.
MAG: Looks kick a$$, I'm looking forward to being a door gunner and mowing people down.
Ninja Gaiden: Not a big fan of the game I think it's kind of lame to be honest.
Ratchet and Clank: Never played one of them but the new one comming out, I'll probably try.
Katamari: Played a demo of a katamri game it was fun but not something I would pay full price for or even get used right away.
Uncharted 2: Instant classic as is Uncharted DF. I'm actually playing through it again.

As for GT5 I think racing games suck. I did how ever purchase the GT on PSN. It is pretty fun, but I'm more impressed with Forza and the whole painting your car thing.
