Xbox exploring alternatives to 1 vs 100, says Phil Spencer

Sitting down with Phil Spencer in London at X019, I hadn't even gotten my question about the return of 1 vs 100 out before he interrupted me.

"We should do it again," he said with a smile.

Another Stevivor article written from an interview that was conducted over a month ago. I said it before and I'll say it again, Stevivor needs to stop breaking up interviews so they can release more "content". I commented on FB and they blew me off, saying they'll keep doing what they're doing.

stevivor1599d ago

I'll address it here too if you'd like. We don't get access to Phil that often. Why post one lazy transcript article when we can focus on the actual questions? Don't read it or engage with it if it pisses you off this much, dude.

ElementX1599d ago (Edited 1599d ago )

You can focus on the actual questions by putting them in bold type, like other sites do. That way people can browse the entire thing and look at the questions and see which ones interest them. It's not that difficult and it's more professional than releasing one question at a time just so you have something to post. Sometimes responses refer to previous questions or statements, so why should someone have to search all of your articles to understand the callback (internal allusion), which on your website, could've been mentioned a month ago?

*EDIT* you can look at my previous comment and see that a lot of people agree

I actually enjoyed 1 vs 100! It was like being part of real life quiz show where everyone could participate and had a chance to win. I also liked that every/most of the avatars represented a real person.

gums0071598d ago

Wow, what an incredibly professional response Stevivor. I dont know what you 2 are crying about but seriously what wanker actually let this wanker get ahold of the controls?

yarbie10001598d ago

Translation: Why post one full interview when I can get more ad revenue by posting 5 different articles?

Ausbo1598d ago

Actually, this journalism is lazy. Drip feeding interview quotes is a desperate attempt to artificially raise your traffic

Camb316911598d ago

I’ll skip a click. Don’t break up the interviews for more content.

Also you addressing it here makes you sound like an ass and your reasoning doesn’t really hold any weight. Sorry.

No Way1597d ago

Yeah, I agree. Also, your response makes me not want to view the site, in any regard.

I loved 1v100 back in the day. Ive even made it into the mob a few times. Man that was fun and a huge surprise when it shut down. I have been wanting them to bring it back for so long now.

gangsta_red1598d ago

I had a friend who swore by this game when it was out.

He was devastated when it got shut down.

I need to look up the reason why, because even though I never played it I used to see a lot of folks on my friend list that did.

dumahim1598d ago

Wasn't the mob the biggest group who wasn't the 1 or in the 100?
I was in the 100 once.

darthv721598d ago (Edited 1598d ago )

the mob was the 100. Everyone who played the game had a chance of making it to the mob or the 1 depending on how quickly you answered (as well as correctly).

dumahim1598d ago

Ok, right. Mob was the 100, the rest was the crowd.

UnholyLight1598d ago

This was actually so exciting when it was a thing. I hope they do bring it back for sure

ziggurcat1599d ago

I am sad that I missed out on this - I hope they revive it.

timotim1598d ago

Besides the politics behind the delivery with the authors...1 vs 100 was innovative...even for our current time, its still innovative today. It takes its fair share of resources to pull off because its like putting on a real show and must always current, but would love to see something like it brought back. I could see it being a Gamepass exclusive for all platforms, including mobile. Would love that.

Oh great, now we have to deal with Anasts Bethesda fetish indefinitely.

Thanks a lot, Todd

You're welcome for the free entertainment. Usually, it comes at a cost of $70 because of inflation.

Crows901d 13h ago

That's an inflated price...

@Crows

It would be if it weren't a valuable resource.

mastershredder1d 14h ago

"with no plans to retire anytime soon" I mean this is like a common news topic involving his name. Knock it off and do some actual newsing. This is like the biggest "No Duh" article of the day, and several sites had to regurgitate it. Geez. So lame.

He doesn't have to retire, just the stupid outdated garbage creation engine.

Netimmerse 4.0, presumably 5.0 for TES6. They should give the Fallout IP to Obsidian, and have it made in UE5.

Embracer CEO demonstrates a masterclass in mental gymnastics in latest interview.
