Blackrock Studios' 2008 racing game Pure found tremendous critical success. So much so, that it appears that there were plans, at least initially, for a sequel. However, according to a blog post by a former Blackrock Studios employee, Pure 2 was canceled by Disney some time in 2009.
Let's take a look at five racing games/series that have largely been forgotten about, but in their day, were actually pretty awesome.
Major Nelson has confirmed 3 more games arriving for Xbox One via Backwards Compatibility.

alien isolation for 7.5 is a steal such a great game and got burnout paradise for 3 dollars, never play burnout but heard good things so i am going to try it when it becomes backwards compatible
Pure was a good game, but it's an arcade racer, you may or may not like it.
I did like it, didn't get into the game fully. Demo seriously impressed me.
But why the hell do they wanna make PurE 2? what ideas would they possibly add? But it's good they are making Split Cum/Second. I can't wait for that beastly game!
Pure got boring fast.. I wouldnt go near pure 2.
I liked Pure a lot, especially after the trophy patch which made me try out different styles I normally wouldn't.
My favorite was for pulling off a triple backflip. Something I thought impossible until I saw a trophy for it.
'Pure found tremendous critical success', lol
Then why can the send one.
Probably the best ATV game to date.
Although, I feel like if it was a little less arcadey, they could have made it's replay value higher.
