Uncharted 2 Release Date, Box Art, Pre-order Goodies Revealed

Hang on, Nathan Drake! Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is almost here, with Sony confirming to us today that the Naughty Dog developed PlayStation 3 game will arrive in the U.S. on October 13th. Start planning your sick days/pre-orders accordingly.

Sony also released Uncharted 2's final box art, reminding us of Mr. Drake's expert ability to hang from ledges and platforms with just one hand. Combine that with his expertise at maintaining a shirt that's half-tucked, half-not and you'll see why the stubbly treasure hunter's adventures warranted a sequel.

Actually, all those items are in the game and you can unlock it. pre-ordering it will allow you access to them before everyone else. You do not need to do the hard work to unlock those items.

Happy to here that the "exclusives" could be unlocked in the game :D, I hope this game has in-game medals like the first, those were my main motives to get all the trophies, the platinum was just an extra XD..the box art looks good, but I liked Drake's forune's cover better, but still looks really good :)

Yeah, I agree. The first Uncharted had some boxart that let you know it was strictly business. Naughty Dog takes no prisoners.

I like the fact that the exclusives pre-order bonus is unlockable for us other bargain hunters (i.e. no pre-order for me), but it bothers me that they get an advantage.

Doesn't really affect me, but I will wait until this game hits the bargain bin or has a severe price drop like most other games I buy.

See? Anybody can make dishonest, douche bag comments. Uncharted and Uncharted 2 are two VERY good reasons to own a PS3, but there are lots of other great reasons as well. Killzone 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, LittleBigPlanet, Valkyria Chronicles, Demon's Souls, Motor Storm, Resistance and Ratchet & Clank Future are just a few of the other good reasons to own a PS3.

Anyway, Uncharted 2 is my most anticipated game by far. If I could only get one game this year, it would be this one. (BTW, I own a PC, PS3 and 360, so that is saying a lot).
