I was addicted to WKC for quite a while, but now I'm addicted Demon's Souls. Demon's Souls is just ridiculously fun, it's my favorite swords & sorcery type of game this generation, easily. But White Knight Chronicles is amazing in its own way. Two very, very different games. America is in for a treat when they get them both this fall / winter.

There was an interview with Tsubasa Inaba and he said that the Japanese voice over might be something they would add to the North American release of the game.
Is that happening?

i don't think the dubbing is that bad i've heard worse but i've never been bothered about dubbing. don't think i've played a game in japanese so cant comment but i like the way its sounding so im ok with the english dub but hopefully they will add it for people who do want the original so its a win win for all

I sort of lost interest in this game after reading the RPGFan review. The thing I look for in a JRPG is a good story, and apparently, WKC doesn't have one.

The story is decent. It's not the deepest in the world, but the characters are actually quite unique for a JRPG and they're all intriguing in their own way. The NPC designs are remarkable, but most importantly the gameplay itself is very, very fun, particularly the multiplayer questing. Add in some voice chat (which they are for this release) and you've got yourself a damn near perfect RPG in terms of mechanics and gameplay. The story isn't the best, but you'll be missing on one helluva fun, addictive game.

To my disagreers: what exactly don't you agree with? The only way you can have a legitimate claim to disagree with anything I said is if you've actually played White Knight Chronicles to formulate your own opinion. So, if you didn't play, then your disagree is useless (and thus the likely reason no comment was left to argue against my assessment of the game). If you did play the game, please, comment. Tell us what you didn't like about it. Because I played it, I liked it, and I truly believe any RPG fan is missing out if they don't play it. Especially if you like MMO's. It's got a pretty remarkable and addictive MMO quality to it, and it's free to boot.

That whole Xenogears and Rogue Galaxy comment saddens me. I mean Level-5 aren't the greatest when it comes to the narrative, and RG was one of the worst stories I've seen in a JRPG.

Don't just take one person opinion into account. Who knows, you might really like the story. I'm tired of reviews. I would of missed out on some excellent games down the years if i'd treated them as canon.

While I do generally disregard the opinion of trolls, you sort of have a point, this game does not live up the graphical excellence I expect from a PS3 exclusive, however the art style is good.

I'm disappointed in the graphics. I loved the art style in Dark Cloud 2 and wish they would have used that for this game. The textures look like they belong in a ps2 game. I'm sure it will be fun to play but its hard to overlook the graphics.

I will probabl.... no, I WILL get fried for saying this but both Infinite Undiscovery & Star Ocean 4 have better looking characters in design and models.

That's sad considering this is a PS3 exclusive and such, ah well, that's just my opinion, when I watched the trailer the first thing that popped is how not good the characters looked.

Valkyria Chronicles has the same cartooney graphic but yet it's among or is the best RPG for this gen! this game is rendered at 1080p native and don't tell me the Wii which can only produce 480p can run it! that's just BS!!
