At a press conference in Tokyo today, GungHo Online Entertainment and its subsidiary GameArts finally took the wraps off its MMORPG Grandia Online. Originally announced four years ago, the project has since been shrouded in mystery. Today, GungHo revealed that the game has been jointly developed by an internal development team and Grandia makers GameArts. As expected, series composer Noriyuki Iwadare is in charge of Grandia Online's soundtrack. Kikuko Inouchi will again lend her voice to Liete. Meanwhile, Mariya Ise will voice the Colta race.
Japanese bikini models just keep getting stranger and stranger. Yuko Ogura was a self-proclaimed alien and Shoko Nakagawa sniffs cat butts and wants to marry Sephiroth.
But Moe Wakaki blows those ladies' weird factors right out of the water.
The 24 year old bikini model appeared at a promotional party for the upcoming release of Grandia Online with her partner, Mr. Suzuki, a mannequin she spends her life with.
Indeed.
BigWorld has announced the new MMO, Grandia Online, the latest in the Grandia series which dates back to 1997.
The best selling original Grandia RPG was a Sega Saturn title. Grandia Online will be set in the 'Age of Genesis' before the original game took place. The game will be built on BigWorld Technology and is being developed by GameArts.
That's really cool :)
With all these new MMO's from pretty decent franchises, I wonder how the MMO market will look in 5 years :)
Will WoW be as dominant, etc.
GungHo Online Entertainment has launched the official website of the MMORPG Grandia Online. On the website you can find information (in Japanese) and screenshots about the game and watch a teaser. If you've played the original Grandia you will be familair with the music playing.
Why an mmo god damn it?
The best thing about the Grandia-series has always been the AFW battlesystem, why would they destroy that by making it an mmo is completely beyond me. :(
It's still not confirmed for PS3, right? I think it's just PC for now, but I hope they bring it to PS3, too. With games like Angel Love Online, Uncharted Waters Online, The Agency, DC Universe Online and Free Realms for PS3, the PS3 is shaping up to be a nice destination for MMO fans . . . Sony should make sure Grandia Online accompanies those titles on the PS3.
