GameStooge takes a look at Atari's choice to pull out of E3 2009, and notices Sony's hands all over the decision.
Excerpt: "It's a pretty bizarre decision for a company that has just been crawling out of oblivion, with its first strong lineup in probably over a decade. Why would it suddenly bury its games? It's a pretty strong indicator that Sony has a lot to do with the decision, after Atari sold EU publishing rights to them.

WTMG's Thomas Medina: "As far as I’m concerned, console MMOs have always been in a weird place. PC is where the main game is most popular. MMOs were born there, work best there, and have the vast majority of titles. Mobile is then next in line, with touchscreens and portability that adds something new while functioning well. Console gaming, on the other hand, is not portable (for the most part). Plus, it uses a controller, which is not the best instrument when your control scheme requires a thousand buttons and a cursor. That being said, there is an audience, and where there’s money to be made, publishers find a way. So here we are with some of the biggest console MMO games and how I feel they handled 2021. "
worst site ever, what a coincidence huh?
and so it begins. The only think i blame Sony for is my unnaturally strong thumbs.
Sounds like Atari just made a smart decision and saved a ton of money. If they don't have a lot to show off, there's no reason to show up.
You know, some might consider it shrewd business by Sony... though it's funny how the PS3 started to rebound AFTER Harrison left.
