Being the most expensive system on the market, the Playstation 3 needs as many killer apps as possible. Fortunately, it has plenty of those already. Here are the top five video games that showcases the best of what the Playstation 3 has to offer.
It turns out that many moons ago, Microsoft once had its eye on the Sony published LittleBigPlanet series.
Microsoft in a nutshell. Always tried to poach Sony employees, games, 3rd party games and devices like the depth camera that was turned into Kinect but was running on PS2 before Xbox 360. Wouldn't be surprised they wanted LBP. Just like they worked behind the scenes pushing the MLB to bring Sony's baseball game to Xbox instead of making their own.

They didn't spend years trying to develop their own baseball game. They wanted Sony's game.
They're scum.
"However, Healey said Media Molecule wouldn't have felt right doing that, adding it would have been "morally corrupt"."
Major kudos to Media Molecule for being an upright studio with principles.
Great, more stories like this please. Show the last of the zombies holding the line what we've been saying for years: Microsoft is anti competition, anti industry and has no interest in making games at all.
But hey, at least there's an Xbox Games Showcase to look forward to, right?
Well considering SONY just killed the series, LBP would've been dead by now either way. Though MM probably wouldn't exist by now either, so I'm glad they stayed with SONY, hopefully they don't get shut down any time soon or ever honestly.
These groundbreaking video games changed gaming forever and drew in scores of fans in the process.
From first-person espionage thrillers to the original installments of beloved franchises, check out the greatest retro video games we recommend for anyone.
I’d have taken a few of those out. Prefer Sonic over Sonic 2. Outrun should be in there. Maybe even Pong as millions of people had fun with that even if it was repetitive. Final Fight pipped any Streets of Rage game, although Streets of Rage had the better soundtrack. Too many to list l guess. To me, retro gaming is the 1980s, maybe going into early 1990s.
I'm glad my game is in that list although it should have been placed @#1. My game has sold very well, despite the $2,000,000,000,000 offer from Microsoft and a lot of pressure from Konami, I didn't allow myself to port this game to Xbox 360 as the dumbed down version would have gotten a possible average Metacritic of 25-35. Also, I doubted that the people who paid actual money for an Xbox could understand such an intricate and complex story. I wanted a sophisticated, educated and game-literate audience to appreciate the beauty of this installation of the Metal Gear Solid saga.
Knock out Flower and replace it with R&C:ToD and it would be one of best lists I've seen here in a while.
Not that Flower was bad, but next to R&C...
a killer defect.. RRoD + E74 = 101% failure rate.
yeah, i have all five.. i would substitute valkyria chronicles for flower, though.. and i would add a racer there somehow.. gt5p, wipeout, MS2:PR, or ridge racer even..
flopzone2 lmaooooo.
