I usually try not to get my hopes up for things like this but this is Sony hyping this up themselves. I know Sony has alot of first party titles but I think for Sony say something like this, there must be something big from a third party. I don't think they will show Twisted metal because David Jaffe said it himself. These are the games Im expecting to see.

I work for rockstar lincoln (UK), and as of now nothing official has been put into place regarding a GTA 5, of course there is talk about it but nothing is confirmed.
however it is highly unlikly that we would make it a ps3 exclusive. it will more likely be on mor than one disc and be a xbox exclusive. but it is a long way off, and it perhaps wont hit this generation at all.
we will probably see one or two sequals to gta4 before we see a gta 5.

You know, KZ2 is doing pretty well to be a essentially new IP. Not as good as expected for many, but doing good overall. But now, when you add up the list of exclusives its easy to see that Sony is on something big this year. KZ2+Infamous+Heavy Rain+ R&C+Uncharted+MAG <--You cant play those on any console but the PS3.

So yes, for PS3 owners this indeed is an amazing year, and BTW, nobody is talking about outsell anything, this article is about games not sales. If you want to talk about sales, I expect the PS3 outsells the 360 as soon as a price drop arrives. After that MS will need to lower the entry level 360 to PS2 price in order to be competitive again.

sony is the console of this gen and is going to wipe the floor with past gens. i honestly cant see how anyone who calls themselves a gamer cannot own the ps3. you turn your back on sony and you get burned. also gt5 will be exclusive becuase no way they can make a better game without more space and im not going to buy the same game with different skin. last gen gta 3 didnt max out every thing that is why the sequals look better and bigger, this gen the x360 been maxed out by them on the first game lol. no way gta will be as big if it doesnt get even more epic like it did during the ps3 era. also rockstar has a name to defend and if they push out crap games just to make a few more bucks people will just stop buying them. x360 got dlc ps3 owners get a new game.

Can't some of you be a little bit realistic, GTAV and MGS5, Team ICO, GT5, Price Drop and PSP2... The conference is only 1 and 1/2 hours long, they have to spend time talking about their business model too and they have to talk about PS2 aswell.

I think this E3 will be aimed at the PSN in correlation to the PS3 and how it's linked with the PS3. Announcing great stuff such as a Massive FW update and new games, I don't think we'll get a bomb like GTAV and isn't Team ICO going to reveal their stuff at TGS like most Japanese developers do?

You do this every year and I am always just sort of impressed, not blown away. A "big E3" is going to be different things to different people, but for me, I would be absolutely ecstatic to hear announcements regarding a Twisted Metal for the PS3, Final Fantasy VII remake, Kingdom Hearts 3, and Star Wars Battlefront. As for other things I would love definite release dates for Final Fantasy 13 and Final Fantasy 13 versus, and announcements regarding PSP 2, and maybe some new first party acquisitions. I love hearing new announcements of Sony acquiring new studios like Quantic Dream (whatever the studios name is that is developing Heavy Rain), or some other cool studios. That always makes me happy as it shows how serious they are about their business.

Looking back at what E3 announced 11 years ago....

Could the big names of that E3 11 years ago have significance to this E3? Is their a correlation?A reason for the 11 year proclomation?

Twisted Metal and Syphon Filter for the PS1... Square announced FFVIII and Konami Metal Gear Solid...

Could we see something FF related on PS3 (FFvsXIII), We will finally see Twisted Metal PS3 and Syphon Filter PS3 (both semi-confirmed), and Kojima did say his next game will be announced at E3, and he teased a Raiden MGS.

I also bet we see a new Ape escape PS3.My friend worked on cloth physics and textures for a while more than a year ago now for the ape escape team...

No more of this "out by the end of next year" crap! M.A.G. should have never been showed last year...neither should God of War 3, Grand Turismo, and AlanWake. I love the hype of games, but it's a let down to see great footage (Or a trailer) of a game, only to has some guy come on stage and say "it will be out, when it's done."

Come on....I'm in favor of E3 narrowing it's window on games release dates vs. showing. This year, it's cool to show GOW, AlanWake, GT5, another Zelda adventure, Halo: ODST, and Dead Rising 2. I'm about an "Oscar's type" event, game awards for past games, red carpets, booth babes (Not sluty, buy hott is cool.), the stars behind the games, discounted games sales, raffles, movie trailers for the year, fanboy arguments, and other cool fan interaction ideas. That's E3 as tonywood sees it!

If Sony mentions and released the 2.8 firmware during E3,just like the PSN VideoStore last year, that alone would steal the show. Ofcourse IF it includes the much requested cross game voice chat etc etc... I think their is a big possibility Sony will do this at E3 during keynote.
Gamewise im hoping for ingame footage of God of War 3, UNcharted2,M.A.G + Gran Turismo 5 ( Along with firm 2009 release dates)..
