Come on guys, how can you guys approved this. I click on the link

and I found it's FROM MSN. MICROSOFT NETWORK.

trane076277d ago

Ill just leave it from there. Cmon now people. Sony being criticized by the microsoft network?! lol. How low can they go?

f41c0n6277d ago

Oh grow up, don't act like Sony hasn't criticized the 360. I bet that you didn't even read the article. It brings up some very valid points, regardless of any bias that may exist.

trane076277d ago

And I read the article. In ways I agree, and in ways I dont. Lets be real now. What you expect to say nothing but good things? stank you very much.

Am I suppost to take it seriously when its full of so many falsehoods?
_____________________________ _______________________________
Things got off to a bad start when it was revealed that the console unveiled at the 2005 E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) was not running the games being displayed. Sony had used devkits, or PCs used in the creation of games, to display what they envisioned would be running on their console eventually, as they did not have things ready for a genuine display - but this was a minor snowflake in what was to become a hailstorm of adverse publicity.
_____________________________ _______________________________

Um nope Sony showed off CGI and had no PS3 on display or actual game demo's. Sony never showed playable games until E3 2006 and yes those where being done on development kits. MS did the same thing for E3 in 2005 running software off of 2 Powermac G5's.

_____________________________ _______________________
UK (and European) consumers are used to being treated like second class citizens when it comes to gaming, but in the modern era it was hard to take that it would be more than a quarter of a year before we could get our hands on the PS3.
_____________________________ _______________________

Why since the big complaint was lack of games for the PS3 and the price to high especially in Europe is it a bad thing that it was delayed there? Now its being released with a bigger selection of games and there have been many updates to the system. Even with that many are being told to wait to buy so I don't see how this is a huge negative as you suggest. Add to this the delay also allowed Sony to launch with far more numbers then MS or Nintendo did in Europe when they launched.

_____________________________ _______________________________
Things did not improve for the Sony PR machine, when it was announced that the much-vaunted backwards compatibility that the PS3 would enjoy – allowing us to play our original PlayStation and PlayStation 2 games – would not be quite as honed in the European version that it was in the US version.
_____________________________ _______________________________

Full backwards compatibility with PS1 games and over 1700 PS2 games. While the software emulation is not 100% of what the the hardware emulation was its still a very impressive feat and far better then the competition was able to do. They have also stated that they will continue to work on adding to the list.
_____________________________ _____________________________

No cheap 20GB hard-drive version for the European market, no, instead we were to get a less-backwards compatible version of the 60GB PS3, at a price that was so much beyond the US and Japanese versions that even Sony’s hardcore of fans baulked.
_____________________________ ____________________________

Really? Again if the price is the huge factor you and others keep making it to be then why is the demand for the 60GB version so much greater then then 20GB version? You would think it would be the other way around with the cheaper version outselling the more expensive one if price was the big issue its been made out to be.

_____________________________ ____________________________
But with pre-launch sales less than inspiring, and figures in the US demonstrating that twice as many people are buying cut-price PS2s than its successor, Sony have managed to damage one of their most important brands.
_____________________________ _____________________________

Pre-launch sales are less then inspiring? Is that why they are breaking pre-sales records? How can that be? As to the PS2 selling more then the PS3 thats hardly a knock on the PS3 as you would suggest. Thats like saying Dell should not sell low end PC's because its damaging the sales of the high end gaming systems they also sell. They are different systems that appeal to different markets.

Thought I was the only one who remembered Trinity lol very underrated

Yui_Suzumiya1d 13h ago

WET and Quantum Theory were both phenomenal

P_Bomb1d 11h ago

I remember Stranglehold! One of the first DLC packs of its time. A bit expensive, but cheap by today’s standards.

Chocoburger1d 10h ago

Another PS3 hidden gems list, and yet again Time Crisis 4 and Time Crisis Razin' Storm get snubbed. Such fun games, that shouldn't be forgotten. If only we got a home port of Time Crisis 5: Mastermind Edition.

-Foxtrot1d 2h ago

WET is something I wish they'd remake, they had so many great ideas but not all of them were executed properly

It had a lot of potential

Also Wanted Weapons of Fate is another game that had some new fun gameplay ideas.
