Spanish site Wildgames.es presents a possible Assassin's Creed II cover.

the "leaks" seem to say that you play another ancestor. So the character we play should be related to Altair.

it wasnt that bad. the fist two hours were fun. it just got way to repetitive. but thats why we are hoping to see something much better in the future.

Not if you played it in short 1-2 hours periods. I did (yes dude, I'm old ;)) and I really enjoyed it. I must agree with you though, that if I had to sit 7 hours straight, I'd get utterly bored.

Actually if you really think of it you can consider Assassins creed as a flawed masterpiece, maybe masterpiece isnt the right word but it could have been, the gameplay was very fun and, most of the time, satisfying but then it got really repetitive, now in the sequel if they add new features(gameplay, setting,storyline...) and learned from their mistake of repitition then we could be in to one great game

You may have seen the concepts regarding more than one stealth-knife, or what they're called.

I'mma gonna say official cover = Bullshiet, it's too early to have given it a final cover.
But yeah, it's definately from some people in the developement team, look at all the details and natural evolutíon from Altaîr's outfit.
Maybe it's Game Informers AC2 cover, just tossed on a 360 cover in photoshop?

But nonetheless, damn, AC2 looks to be a really, really killer game!
Loved the first one, had it flaws, yeah, but I still loved it!
And please tell me how it was any more repetitive than the most shooters we get today?

As far as I remember the cover art from the first Assassin's Creed was available in the first batch of artworks... so, with this experience in mind, this COULD be AC2 box.

Still waiting for confirmation, my Ubi contact is on a holiday today :(

How is it Altair? Don't you remember there were more assassins, even though most of them were killed? And this is like....300+ years after the first one if I recall right from that Game Informer article. 1196-1467 or something like that.

Someone stating that it looks like Altair. Well, in a way it is. Altair and Desmond both look exactly the same. They are in the same bloodline and it was confirmed that the main character in AC 2 also belongs in that blood line. He looks like Altair and will probably be the spiritual successor to him as well. Don't be surprised if he's gonna be exactly the same but just a different name.

Anyway I really like this cover. A lot of foreground and little background makes it less cluttered. I also like the design of this Ezio "Altair" character.
