Both are great and "somewhat fresh".
BG3 is slightly better.

notachance39d ago

This is why I love non live-service games, they don’t have to fight for your time. You can easily play them in any order, whenever you want to and still got the full experience of every single one of them.
There’s no season or battlepass or daily quest BS that’s borderline manipulative to make you play as much as possible.

RhinoGamer8840d ago

How is BG3's console performance?

SeTTriP39d ago

Bad to say the lease but it's so great that you stomach it.i have almost 400hrs in it and their are game breaking bugs everywhere.

QuantumMechanic39d ago

I have to disagree. Save for some slowdown in Act 3, BG3 performs just fine on PS5.

anast39d ago

Yeah, you don't have almost 400 hrs.

GamerRN39d ago

It runs a solid 60 minus some act 3 stuff on Xbox, game runs just fine... Haven't had any bugs and thankfully I dodged whatever was causing the game save bug

thorstein39d ago (Edited 39d ago )

Better than PC because controller. Walking about without pointing and clicking was so much better with a joystick. I know PC has controller support, but in the OG BG1 and BG2, point and click was such a staple of the gameplay that I loved playing that way (same with Icewind Dale I & II).
The radial menus are fantastic when you need to quickly grab stuff.
Inventory screens at launch were awful though. You could use them and they functioned wonderfully, but there was a ton of back and forth when there didn't need to be and they were decisively cumbersome.
But, otherwise there isn't any difference.

Barlos39d ago

Very good for the most part, apart from Act 3, when it stutters a fair bit. Doesn't detract too much though

MeteorPanda39d ago

Whats better, Vegetables or Fruits

MeteorPanda39d ago

Are you ignoring the vegetable heavyweight champion, the Potato?

DarXyde39d ago (Edited 39d ago )

MeteorPanda,

Potato is cool, but durian and pretty much any fruit from France are both God tier

RedDevils39d ago

Asian fruits beat all of it.

anast39d ago

So you are saying both games are awful?

thorstein39d ago

So you are saying you've never had bacon.

anast39d ago

I'm saying I don't like either one.

Flawlessmic39d ago

2 very different rpgs but after atleast 90hrs in bg3 and another 25 in dragons dogma 2, all I can say is both games are brillant in there own way.

SeTTriP39d ago

Bg3 is in my top 5 games of all time list haven't played dd2 yet but I agree two very different games and I'm 235hr of play not almost 400hrs like I said previously.

Game has some issues tho and its not the GOTY everyone hoped.

Small enemy variety.
Very poor endgame. Its just Caelid with some bosses.
Fun classes like Assassin and Magic Knight gone
One weapon type per class.

Overall its a great game.

It's just a shame the story doesn't hold up
