So now they will focus on quality? lol

blackblades114d ago

To be fair, they the only ones. Square and other Japanese devs been lacking is quality for a long time and they made up for it in good games.

SilentZeroX113d ago

Capcom, Nintendo, and Atlus are far better than Bandai, and you can't really count FromSoftware as one of Bandai's studios.

blackblades113d ago

@silent yeah I know, i ment to put a few. Example square gives quality to FF, with SO and valkyrie nope. Koei quality been eh but there games are fun. Its not just Japanese though.

1Victor113d ago

Good let’s hope others follow them before the industry get too close to collapsing again.

-Foxtrot113d ago

Yeah…when they realised we’re not all massive suckers

Pepsi_Man3000114d ago

Absolutely insane that quality wasn't already a focus

H9114d ago

That's the most insane statement I have ever heard, it's basically saying "from now on we will try to make good games"

CrimsonWing69114d ago

I mean, why in the f*ck wasn’t this the priority from the get-go? Now that you see consumers aren’t going to swallow up your dribble for full price you have to make the announcement that you’re focused on making “quality” games now? What a joke.

jznrpg114d ago (Edited 114d ago )

Quality should always be the focus and that will get you $$$$. Though I have to say Bandai Namco has made some great games but some of their anime stuff could be better quality

Halo: Combat Evolved remaster reportedly in the works, being considered for PlayStation release

Eurogamer writes: "That's according to The Verge's Tom Warren, who (in the site's paywalled Notepad newsletter) says a new Halo: Combat Evolved remaster is currently in the early stages of development. It's one of several new games reportedly being considered for Project Latitude - Microsoft's internal name for its new multi-console release strategy - following multi-console launches for Sea of Thieves, Grounded, Pentiment, and Hi-Fi Rush earlier this year."

I remember having a good time with this one in a, let's say 'modded' version, on the PC with a bunch of friends back in the day.

Not really sure if I would pay 70 or even 60 dollars for it on my ps5, but I guess we'll see. I would consider if it was the master chef collection, mainly for the single player campaigns, and if it was around 40 bucks

RedDeadLB3h ago

wait, wasnt this already remastered?

darthv723h ago

Yes... twice if you count the Anniversary edition on 360 and then later updated again (slightly) for the MC Collection on XBO.

JEECE1h ago

Yes, and I'm sure all the usual suspects who are super upset at other companies for "remaking remasters" will be outraged about this one.

porkChop1h ago

Yeah it's been remastered twice I believe. I'm not sure why this needs another one. A from-the-ground-up remake I could understand, but another remaster seems entirely unnecessary.

Lightning771h ago(Edited 1h ago)

I was thinking it could be remade under Unreal Engine 5 to get ready for Certain Affinity's new BR game that might get shown off on Sunday. (Don't know know just speculation. ) One of the jobs descriptions for the BR Halo was designed to be played on all consoles or every where (hard paraphrasing here) once again there's smoke but doesnt always mean fire.

I personally think it's false. It's already been redone a few times plus nobody is really asking for Halo CE remake not like a Gears collection (which ppl are speculating could be on PS also) unless Halo CE gets announced on Sunday along with Certain Affinity's new game then I can see both games being on PS, I highly, highly doubt it. It's also said to be in early development so why even "leak" this news unless Tom Warren wants you to sign up to his news letter lol. Who knows if it's even real which I personally don't think it is. Any game that's early in development could be considered to go multiplatform, you can just throw that in there for any game being made.

ChasterMies42m ago(Edited 42m ago)

If Sony can release two remasters of The Last of Us and Rock Star can release two console updates for GTA V, we can have another remaster of Halo CE.

darthv727m ago

We already have two remasters of Halo CE. One for 360 and one for XBO. Just like LoU remastered for PS4 and then again for PS5.

"in early stages of development", so , like the rest go their games then

outsider16241h ago

Halo on a Playstation. We welcome thee oh Master Chief.

RaiderNation1h ago(Edited 1h ago)

Halo with Dualsense capability would be cool. Hearing Cortana's voice through the controller speaker would be a cool addition as well!

RaiderNation1h ago

Sorry but, doesnt this essentially already exist in Halo MCC? It didn't say remake, it said remaster. What more can they do with it outside of what was already done?

spicelicka26m ago

So the general theory is that this is a brand new remaster using Unreal Engine, so it'll be very different at least aesthetically and possibly even gameplay-wise. It's also considered as a test for Unreal engine to be used for future Halo games.

One of many low hanging fruit that would have improved the game

anast3h ago

Better tech, better devs, and Morrowind like freedom would have improved this game.

enkiduxiv1h ago

Wow, both options sound terrible.
