Starfield would be better if it had more bugs, like Skyrim and Fallout

Starfield is a new standard for performance and polish in Bethesda RPGs, but I miss the comedy and character of Skyrim, Fallout 3, and Fallout New Vegas’ bugs.

Starfield would be better if quests were better designed. Dialogue was more interesting. Rewards were more interesting. Exploration would be possible. Less fast traveling everywhere. More leveling choices and mechanics. A skill system. A better bounty/jail system. Better ship mechanics. Better enemy ai....Pretty much better everything and a return of a lot of systems that they removed.

First bethesda game were your skills dont improve while using them.

The narratives on this game are hilarious to me because they just showcase bias at its most ridiculous. Yeah the company that for years was bashed for putting out buggy games finally comes out with a game that is polished and now the people who are butt hurt over exclusivity are saying it’s better if it had bugs. Perhaps you're just too cynical? Gaming journalism is a joke, but they're very much keeping this "complaint" in context. At no point do they reference other platforms or hate the game.

You are assuming the intention of the writer; as a scientist by training and occupation, I value evidence.

I see none supporting your statement. In fact, their article history appears to favor my perspective.

Not every "negative" Starfield article comes from people with knives out for Starfield. I think the article is silly, but the idea that they want more bugs is actually something people talk about ALL the time. People who have historically defended Bethesda's mediocre programming skills have a habit of calling their bugs "charming".

So I ask you: how unusual is it for someone to say they wish it had more bugs? Is it really that nefarious?
