PS3: 'White Knight Chronicles' Import Report

yes but you also have to consider that the game runs in 1080p native. there aren't many retail games that can do 1080p native.

Your custom character you make is the main characters side kick and is rendered in the in game cutscenes and you also play the online with the custom character ...nice. I want to play too ,been playing rogue galaxy in anticipation of WKC.

Plus they have to save something for the sequel although I still hope they plan on making Rogue Galaxy 2 as well.

This is my 2nd or 3rd most anticipated game for 2009... I only hope that it makes it out in 09. Doesn't necessarily seem groundbreaking, actually seems a lot like an improved FFXII... but I'm definitely looking forward to it. The combat sounds pretty cool and is probably the feature I'm looking forward to the most.

It's not in 1080p native I seem to remember - I think the box only said 720p. But I could be wrong. Nevertheless the graphics really aren't that impressive but that's not why people are hyped for the game.

The CG cutscenes are impressive and the ingame gfx are decent thats good enough for me if it was an FF I would be holding it to stricter standards.

you can import any PS3 game. the PS3 is region free.
but yeah, it's entirely in Japanese... and language is important for a JRPG

It feels a lot like a medieval Star Wars universe when I saw the Dark Vader-like knight, the Obi-Wan Kenobi character at the beginning and the main protagonist being Skywalker.

Level 5 are into keeping the games looking as much as anime as they can thats there artistic EYE if u have played any of there games in the past you would know that they like there manga style DC2 was shall shaded to keep that manga/anime feel. i love these type of graphics i love manga loved to see an soul eater game or Mai Otome or Mai Hime game on the PS3 nad 360.

I really hope this comes to the US soon. I've been playing the import and my wife, who doesn't stray beyond her Wii for games, is enjoying watching me play and wants to join me when she puts our little girl down at night. She doesn't speak Japanese though, so I have to narrate to her the plot and that became uncool after the first five minutes.

have you played FFXII? cuz both battle systems are pretty similar... is like an hybrid of a turn based with real-time. you can move around while the attack bar fills to attack and you can see the enemies before you fight them.

Because it seems that FFXIII and others are far off, and/or on other consoles (Wii/DS/360). To me it kinda lost some steam because of the
inclusion of the online MP, but hopefully everything lines up nicely.

I think that's just the way of the japanese, they don't use alot of shader tech, normal mapping etc.

Seems more the big studios, like capcom(re5) use it more.

Maybe it'll catch up more in japan.

That's why alot of people think the games look bland.

Looks wicked awesome. Why are you guys complaining about the graphical quality. It's the art style. There is a lot of bang for your buck with this one just like R2 is.
