With Mario Tennis turning 20, let's take a look back at its greatest contribution to the Mario franchise: the introduction of Waluigi.
The ‘Mario Sports’ trademark has been registered by Nintendo for Europe and Australia. The two listings for the Mario Sports trademarks in Europe and Austraila were both registered on May 20, 2020. They will expire 10 years after their registered dates, so in May of 2030. Both of the registered trademarks refer to “Mario Sports”.
Waluigi is an enigma in the Mario lore - a menace of unknown origins whose motivations and internal workings are a complete mystery.
For as close to Wario as Waluigi seems to be, I’m surprised they still haven’t put Waluigi in any of Wario’s standalone games
