White Knight Chronicles: The Box Art, The New Screenshots

It's a bumper White Knight Chronicles media update! Not only does Kotaku have a copy of the game's sublime box art, but a bunch of new screenshots as well.

OK, most of them are new - you'll find one or two familiar-looking ones - but the looks at character customization and seriously in-game action are warmly appreciated.

Man, they are really keeping a lid on the single player. Outside of cutscenes, there have been very few single player screen shots. But it looks like the multiplayer could be fun.

I actually prefer it that way. The less you see of a great game, the more surprised and blown away you'd be when you actually experience it for yourself, rather than seeing it in a trailer or a bunch of pics beforehand.

meepmoopmeep5628d ago

i agree with above,

i don't want to know too much about this game starting now.
i've refrained from looking at screens or reading news on it.

i just watch the PSN trailers over and over and trying to learn more Japanese.

"I don't want to know too much about this game"

And yet you all complain for new FFXIII info EVERY time a Square-Enix article is released. Look, it's good WKC is coming out soon, so yeah, probably don't want TOO much to spoil things, but this comment shows what wrong with the FFXIII situation.

"The less you see of a great game, the more surprised you'll be"

Well, then let's leave FFXIII alone by the logic to be massively surprised as all hell throughout!

lol, just trying to stir the pot friends.

I believe it will certainly stand tall amongst the rest of the RPG's, Foreign or Domestic, for the rest of 2009.

Imallvol75628d ago

I am pretty excited about this. I don't know why there haven't been more RPG's where you play together. I am not interested in MMORPG and this type of game sounds just right.

Panthers5628d ago

Couldnt have said it better. 2-4 player RPG is exactly what I want.

hay5628d ago

And now... I need more friends with PS3.

rockleex5628d ago

Home could help you out. ^_^

Harry1905628d ago

I would have imported it right away from Play-Asia were it not for it's total absence of english subtitles. It's entirely in Japanese and you NEED to know what is happening in an rpg to do something.

AHHHHH, I can't resist. I am getting it.

meepmoopmeep5628d ago (Edited 5628d ago )

it's weird, Play-asia had the Asian version last week and now it's not even on the site anymore, just the JPN version.
and yeah, i checked if the Asian version had English since i bought Siren from there with English.
it doesn't

they have Afrika Asian version that has English though, so i might import Afrika

masterofpwnage5628d ago

if the online looks better then hella of the 360 rpgs then i cant wait for the story line graphics

but screen shots do no justice,
video always look better

Memorable Music in Gaming #21

Chalgyr's Game Room writes:

I am kicking things off by going back to a familiar well here - with a song from the Neverwinter Nights soundtrack. This is still arguably one of my favorite music scores in a video game ever, but I decided to lead off with it and then create something of a theme as I decided to pull all of this edition's songs from RPG games.

Neverwinter Nights (PC) - Battle - Forest Boss

I touched on the somewhat mystical quality of another Neverwinter Nights song last week when discussing City Docks Day. There were a lot of really good battle tunes in this one, but the Forest Boss song always stood out in my mind. The battle itself was not even the most memorable one, but right around the one minute mark, it reaches an epic level that just stuck with me.

The ten last-gen games that should have "HD Remasters"

Digitally Downloaded writes: "Below are the ten games we'd like to see make their way to the new generation of consoles this year. Or, perhaps, game collections that could be pulled together into a single disc package for even better value as we have seen other recent HD/ Remaster releases."

B-But FFXII isn't last-gen. I'd love to see it remastered regardless though. Brilliantly fun game, I just disliked the story unfortunately.

hkgamer3400d ago (Edited 3400d ago )

story was ok, but very unlike the other ff storylines where there is a clear villian.

i just want the game for vita/ps4. international zodiac version would be interesting to play but i hope that the original glitches(?) are still there.

i had more fun breaking the game then playing the game properly.

would also be cool if they added dual wielding. would make some rare weapons actually useful.

MrSwankSinatra3400d ago

I really would like to see a HD Remaster of both Twilight Princess & Skyward Sword. Those games deserve to be in HD

Relientk773400d ago

Are you saying that they could make Ni no Kuni look even better, because I would like to see that.

hkgamer3400d ago

they could easily make that game look better. just make it as detailed as the animation. the 3d models had a lot less detail.

not saying it didnt look nice, just saying it could be improved a lot.

DougLord3400d ago

NONE - lets keep remakes to games from 2-3 gens ago!

PeaSFor3400d ago

what i want to see:

Patapon HD Collection
FFIX & FFVII Remastered
MadWorld HD
Thrasher:Skate&Destroy HD
EA Skate series HD
Lumines Collection
VibRibbon remastered
Mario Galaxy 1&2 Remastered
BF1942 Remastered

WheatBread3400d ago
