Battlefield 2042 Beta has some of the best graphics we've seen on PC at 4K/Ultra

It looks incredible. When chaos happens you really get to see it. They did enough so that when nothing happens it still looks good but when you are in those moments, you can totally see it. Flares, jets crashing, everything is bayhem level.

I was right below the rocket launch and we had a last minute firefight. Was something to witness

Its fantastic that the rocket site is a control point, so much happens there. Also its great how the rocket site and the opposite end skyscraper really become monuments in the match. It is extremely easy to visualize it. That's a great design. Rocket is the constant and we all know where to look wherever you are and the tornado is the wild card, moving destruction. And the bright day to storm weather being the map time of day and style changer. Just love what they did.

Just had another firefight a short while ago in the tornado. The lightning strikes and explosions can be seen vividly across the map. Its haunting and beautiful.

What? The game's graphics are a downgrade from BFV. It reminds me of BF4 but with more foliage and improved effects.

I have BF4 and BF 5 atm, I play it sometimes on and off.

Just log in and look at them again. You don't even have to look carefully.

BF5 still looks good, but this does surpass it in some ways and for 128 player giant scale map definitely does.

Also the articles screenshots are terrible. There are way better looking places and moments.

Gonna have to disagree here. I tried the beta on ultra and it’s not particularity outstanding looking. Looks ok. The map looks pretty boring.

I must be missing something, I'm playing at 1600p ultrawide with a 3080ti and I didn't think it was anything special.

No. Battlefield 2042 looks like BF5 with different textures and models... Of course more polished, more detail but definitely not next gen or graphically advance game. At least beta look's like that.

I'm playing BF since Bad Company. But this is the first Battlefield game graphics not the top level. But still good game. And I'm happy with that. (Esl guy)

No interest in BF but yes, if you want the best experience and best graphics/sound (try Soundblaster AE series) anywhere PC is where it's at. It will look even better when you throw in reshade.

Hmm didn't look that good to me, best graphics on pc 4k/ultra is a heck of statement... Frostbite never deliver best graphics on any platform, so this updated version must be awesome... Or not...

I thought the character models looked "ok", so do the animations.
Special effects and environmental effects looked awesome. Truly a strength here. The sense of spectacle is here.
Textures are good but not great. Geometry is crap. Character polygons pass through the floor, even on the soldiers themselves when you are down, when you interact with véhicules etc....
It looks good, but I expected way more for something called next gen.
