Microsoft Flight Simulator - First Xbox Series X|S Gameplay & New Features Revealed

Microsoft revealed the first actual Xbox Series X|S gameplay of Microsoft Flight Simulator and new information about new features coming with the console version and extending to the PC version as well.

It isn't. It's way superior.

DCS World is really good in many ways, but it's extremely limited unless you start really spending into the modules, unless you're ok with trying stuff only for two weeks (which usually aren't enough to properly learn an aircraft) and not owning any of it.

MSFS is an extremely content-rich package in its own right, and continuously expanding, you're not constricted to smallish maps, and the simulation isn't any less competent than DCS world if you delve into addons (which are needed in DCS world as well).

if they made it as real as possible, there shouldnt be any place you cant go. Im looking forward to flying to my favorite little camping town in northern california. I drive by the little air strip every time I go there. and to fly into it [in the game] just sounds so intriguing.

You can spawn pretty much anywhere you like, and there's a slew mode that lets you basically move very fast in any direction, if that's what you mean.

Yes thank you , wasn’t sure if I could just go to a certain location or if I would have to literally fly there from nearby airport

Kinda pointless to play this game on a standard controller and setup. Where's the Immersion? If you're into checking it out, go for it

Controls will definitely be simplified and is probs more of a tech demo for the Series X. Will I be playing it? Absolutely.

Controls won't be simplified. There will be aids and AI assists for those who wan't it.

People have been playing this on standard controllers for a year, and there are dedicated sticks and yoke controllers for Xbox already available and more coming.

It looks absolutely outstanding, but if I get it right, the game's content is streamed for the most part, as there's no way you can store the content of our whole beautiful planet Earth on a disc, so there must be extremely high requirements when it comes to your online connection in order to get the game to run at all, even on consoles, I suppose? Any idea what those requirements are?
