Capcom has been on quite a roll over the last few years, particularly with its critically acclaimed Resident Evil series. By updating classic titles like Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 for the modern era, Capcom gave old fans a great reason to dive back in while welcoming new fans with two of the best remakes of the generation. Today, they announced that they’ll be jumping back into the Resident Evil pool, this time with a brand-new title built for Xbox Series X. What’s more, they also teased their first brand-new IP in four years: an action-adventure game called Pragmata.
Digital Foundry : A company revitalised based on the latest Ubisoft Forward, we saw a big bunch of excellent games and a couple in particular that look set to deliver proper 'next-gen' rendering - Star Wars Outlaws and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. Beyond those 'bangers', the likes of AC Mirage and Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown also caught the eye of John Linneman and Alex Battaglia. Plus: a quick look at the Capcom showcase, including new footage of Pragmata.
Watch the trailer for Pragmata, shown during Capcom Showcase in June 2023.
Wow delayed in definitely seems like Deep Down 2.0, I wonder if it's because Sony cut funds again.
Seems like there is a trend of games being announced at Sony presentations then disappearing like Abandoned, Deep Down, that GaaS game with all the layoff, KOTOR and the old favourite Agent.
This trailer did show the first bits of game play that I've seen thus far, Which I thought looked pretty cool! I think it's going to be a very unique game when it does finally release. I'm digging the vibe!
So glad this game is still alive!!
I thought it was vapourware for sure, thank you capcom for showing me this!!
Zach from WellPlayed writes about five games that have been super quiet since their announcement.
Deep Down please. 😂
One day, I’m holding out hope.
Hard to think that it’s been 10 years since it was announced.
Last update was Shawn Layden saying in 2021 that it may be picked up by someone else within Capcom following Ono’s departure.
Nice, plus a new IP coming to next gen.
I'm looking forward to it
They announced it for xbox 2 days ago at the PS5 event. Much like every 3rd party game revealed at the ms 'gameplay' event will be on PS5.
See what ms double-speak does - it confuses their consumers.
I want to see more of Pragmata that game has me intrigued.
