How many titles out of the 38 are to be PS5 exclusives? Hope its 10 minimum.

1458d ago
Lon3wolf1458d ago

10 minimum might be a push, especially as Sony seem to be putting/allowing more "exclusive" games on the PC too.

RosweeSon1458d ago (Edited 1458d ago )

Yeah they’ve released games for PC 2-3 years after releasing on PS4 and once they in the budget range 🤷🏻‍♂️ Who actually cares I played it when I came out do i now care years later someone else can finally play on PC. No. It’s a bit different to releasing your limited amount of exclusives simultaneously with PC. Sony do it years later. Horizon came out over 3 years ago and still hasn’t launched, I’ve still played and platinum’d it I don’t see any problem 🤷🏻‍♂️ If they wanna wait over 3 years up to them I played it on PS4 it’s a blinder.

rainslacker1457d ago

More as in a couple so far? Is it even a couple yet?

It's reasonable to assume that this also includes 3rd party games, since Sony wouldn't be talking about 38 games at once from their own studios....even if they had that many to annouce.

I do believe 10 might be a stretch, but why conflate a reasonable conclusion with a cynical attempt at trying to say Sony doesn't have exclusives anymore?

nirwanda1458d ago

Don't get too excited mate just read the whole magazine on twitter

seanpitt231458d ago

Most of there top studios have been working on PS4 titles... so don’t get your hopes up to much

38 next gen games! O.o

Silly gameAr1458d ago (Edited 1458d ago )

Isn't Microsoft in full PR mode the past couple of days? Shouldn't you be in one of their many articles bragging about how awesome xbox and MS are?

Obscure_Observer1458d ago

@Silly gameAr

No. I´m looking foward to PS5 exclusives. ;)

remixx1161458d ago

Next gen will be fun, mostly I want to see the demonsouls remake if is true and halo 6 gameplay.

purple1011452d ago

Haha. 38 current gen games with hi-res textures, is what I see.

purple1011452d ago

There all 3rd party games from what I can see.

Even godfall, a pc /ps5 exclusive is technically 3rd part as its devflopers are Not from one of Sony worldwide studios teams. Its gearbox software who made mass effect, i do believe.

Elda1458d ago (Edited 1458d ago )

Hoping half will be PS5 exclusives.

S2Killinit1458d ago

They wont reveal things in a magazine.

purple1011452d ago

True. They have had exclusive previews before. Never seen before screenshots. Interviews and information. Many many times.. But actual announcements. None come to mind. Not big ones at least.

LiViNgLeGaCY1458d ago

Your hopes are going to seriously be dashed, unfortunately.

AngelicIceDiamond1458d ago

That's the issue with most ppl on here. Unrealistic wishful thinking hype, then get let down whenever a company doesn't deliver on your pipe dreams then get mad or make excuses. Expectations should always be in check, always.

Elda1458d ago (Edited 1458d ago )

Sony PS has never let me down when it comes to consoles & their portfolio of exclusive games from the PS4 to all previous generations of their consoles, something they've always delivered. I already assumed the fact that they would announce most of their AAA exclusives at their event & not first in a magazine. I would have thought some of their exclusive smaller titles may have been mentioned in the mag instead but cross gen multi-plats were mentioned something I had no problem with knowing that was to be expected.

purple1011452d ago

Yeh that's one way to look at it.

The other way... Is

KILLZONE
GRANTURISMO 7

muaahhahaha.aaaaahhhhhaaahaaa aaha

rainslacker1457d ago (Edited 1457d ago )

I don't care about exclusivity. I just want to start seeing more of the next gen games.

I'll save my talk about how exclusives are important for discussions about why they're important. Games can have their own time without that IMO.

Elda1457d ago

Different strokes for different folks. I have supported all generations of PS consoles solely because I like the exclusives that release on their systems. I like multi-plats as well but I love the fact of having those extra games that are not multi-plats that most of the time I'm interested in playing.

rainslacker1456d ago

Don't get me wrong. Sony made exclusives have been great since last gen. Very few duds IMO. But, I'm actually eager for the new gen games to start showing off what a new gen can do. Not just because I think the conversations surrounding it all have become idiotic, but because I've seen some of them already, and think people will be excited when that stuff finally gets shown. Right now the excitement almost seems tepid, and it's like there is nothing really tangible for people to latch onto, so instead, they're latching onto things that they think they know what it actually means, but don't have a good frame of reference.

IRetrouk1458d ago

It's just a third party list in the mag, theres no real reveals, and hardly any pics, there could still be an early june event but it has nothing to do with what's in the mag.

AngelicIceDiamond1458d ago

Sony themselves don't publish these articles it's journalists and writers who work for the magazine. It's rumored June 3 for Sony's official showcase. These are games most likely launching on the console. Though Sony is apparently moving around the date but their reveal will be the first week of June that's the sure fire rumor rumbling.

This magazine is way different then Sony's game reveal, not related.

@purple101

They may not have a plan to exit gaming. But give it time they will eventually sell off everything and fade away into nothing.

Stellar Blade has sold more physical copies than Dragon's Dogma 2 in Japan, despite PS5 exclusivity

By the looks of it, PlayStation 5 exclusivity does not hurt the sales of Stellar Blade in Japan as the game has passed 90,000 sold physical copies.

Stellar Blade really deserves way more praise than it got, devs have been adding more and more content, for free, since release and the game already was great to begin with!

BrettAwesome7h ago

More than it got? It got tons, by everyone except the sad wankers who's idea of a sex life, is pulling on their dicks while watching big fake cgi titties 😂

Cacabunga7h ago

I think we can safely claim that Stellar Blade 2 is confirmed!
I got it day one, i have some backlog due to RDR2 i just platinumed.. i will get to Stellar Blade in the near future

shinoff21836h ago

Same but I'm hitting yakuza right now. Stellar blade looks cool though.

neutralgamer19925h ago

Capcom really dropped the ball with DG2. They had easy success on their hand but instead with their stupid decisions ruined the games success

Stellar blade is an amazing game and deserves all the success. For all the artificial hate it got from people who had no interest in the game to begin with this shows if you make a good game it will sell. The so called 1st party drought from PlayStation has meant 4 exclusives in 2024 so far. Other companies need to learn how to run a business and plan for the future

H910h ago

Stellar blade is performing very impressively there, DD2 didn't do well because word of mouth destroyed it's reputation and not about the Microtransactions or performance, bad word of mouth about how the game lacks so many things that were in the first one

Redemption-647h ago

DS2 sold 2.5M in a little over a week, what the hell are you talking about?

H97h ago

"there", that's Japan, this article is about Japan, the bad word of mouth is about Japan

Hereandthere8h ago

Exclusives matter. No matter what bumbling phil and bond try to say, exclusives is why you buy a console.

The_Hooligan5h ago

How dare you speak common sense!!??

jznrpg11m ago

It would if they added a lot more combat and didn’t focus on graphics

XiNatsuDragnel8h ago

Stellar blade is great excited for 2

anast8h ago

They dropped the ball with dogma. SB is a solid game, it just had to weather the social storm.

shinoff21836h ago(Edited 6h ago)

Said that dd2 was missing things the first one did, like mass effect 2? I haven't played it so I'm really asking.

spss115h ago

I've played both and I have no idea what people say when they claim it's "incomplete". I've only noticed new things in comparison to DD1 (I would give a list but spoilers). Sometimes I wonder if some people actually played DD1 or maybe they remember it differently. Anyways, if you liked the first one and want more of that, you'll probably like DD2.
