Bloodborne's attention to detail and artistic direction are remarkable, but technically it's a poor game.

There are a lot of better looking games like Hellblade, Shadow of the Colossus and Gran Turismo, just to name some.

Yeah, their artistic vision is way more solid than they're technical vision. But hey, if I were to choose between the two, I'd go the way of Bloodborne. It seems like, for whatever reason, Japan is lagging behind the West a bit with regard to video game visuals, which is pretty surprising to me.

Absolutely, I love how Bloodborne looks. It's gruesome yet fascinating. But technically speaking it's pretty poor, has low res textures, framerate hiccups, no dynamic lightning etc.

Japanese have always been paying more attention to gameplay rather than graphics, and compensate their technical difficulties with great artistic values.

Which, I can tell you, is a decision I support.

@Obelisk92 Completely agree, they just nail so many great and memorable games, and you don't really care that it doesn't look like a ND game, because it's just so damn fun.

Agree completely but I wouldn't say Bloodborne was terrible on a technical level, it's certainly not as accomplished as the biggest PS4 titles, but I still feel Bloodborne was a technically good game.

I'm in awe of what Sony's games look like! Played GOW last night and I have a Pro with Samsung KS9000 and my wife was like "wow that looks amazing!" She sat down and watched the finale battle and having seen me complete several of the main GOW's she was impacted by the closing moments!

bloodborne has amazing detail, but it's graphics engine pales in comparison to other PS4 exclusives. i think Driveclub, Infamous second son and Order 1886 all deserve to be rated above it

Theres more than 5. Beautiful doesnt just mean a technical marvel. Games like Persona 5 have style that makes it just as beautiful as the next.
