TheVerge - A year ago, if you had told me I’d be spending my evenings playing Payday 2 on a tablet, I wouldn’t have believed you. Yet, here I am, plugging away at a heist game that came out five years ago. Such is the power of the Nintendo Switch.
"The Montpellier-based (France) indie games publisher Plug In Digital and Rome-based (Italy) indie games developer Caracal Games, are today very delighted and excited to announce that their first-person open-world parkour based platform adventure "Downward", is getting an Enhanced Edition for consoles (PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and the Nintendo Switch) on June 4th, 2024." - Jonas Ek, TGG.
“I had a lovely time with My Little Pony: A Zephyr Heights Mystery and it certainly exceeded my expectations so no matter who you are, you're bound to find a lot of smiles and cheer in this delightful 3D platformer.” - A.J. Maciejewski from Video Chums.
An inspired Soulslike for those that crave them.
The only way I’d play a game I’d otherwise ignore is if it were dramatically on sale, which doesn’t happen frequently and sometimes at all on Switch.
stop the hyperbole Lol...
I'm glad I picked up Doom for the Switch, such an enjoyable shooter and a title I wouldn't normally choose on the bigger consoles.Play's great in portable mode too.
Lol how is this being manipulated as a good thing? It's a result of Nintendo having only 2 heavy hitters and their consumers buying random games they don't really care about to justify the console purchase
Me too because there isn't any other games beyond Zelda and Odyssey that interest me. Most of the games on the horizon and currently out are too childish for my taste. Mario Rabbids, Splatoon, Kirby, or games that I've already beat on other consoles some cases years ago (LA Noire). I don't want ports or childish games I want some Metroid Prime 4, new Donkey Kong country, a real fire emblem not that dynasty warriors BS, and some other new entries like maybe a new kid Icarus, star fox, Mario Kart 9, Smash Bros, what about a new Castlevania?? Or a F zero reboot. The list of franchises the switch could bring forward to next gen gaming is endless. Instead of child games and ports from MS and Sony.
