GameSpot TGS 2008: Edge of Twilight Impressions

GameSpot writes: "Edge of Twilight is presented as a game of contrasts, and from what we've seen so far it looks set to live up to that. In it you play as Lex, a half-breed being who is the one person in his world who can move between its co-existing day and night states. These two states exist in the same space, it seems, but are wildly different-even Lex's form changes massively as you move from one world to the other.

Popping down to Fuzzyeyes' booth at TGS to take a look at the game, we were presented with a demo of the game's combat in both worlds. Starting off in the light world, which is dominated by mostly decaying steampunk technology, Lex is armed with a significantly sized gunblade that looks to be part shotgun, part cleaver."

After A Decade of Work and a Failed Indiegogo, Edge of Twilight Released

Josh Griffiths writes: "It’s still amazing that a crowdfunding campaign sprouted out of nowhere for a game nearly a decade old. It was only in May 2016 that Edge of Twilight made a triumphant return on Indiegogo. Its developer, Fuzzyeyes, needed funding to finally bring the game out of developmental hell and release it into the world. Unfortunately for them, nobody seemed to care."

The Decline of Indiegogo

Indiegogo is one of the first crowdfudning sites, and the Angry Video Game Nerd seemed poised to make the site a dominant force. So what happened?

garyanderson2856d ago

Indiegogo, that place is such a joke.

Didnt read it yet but could the ill fated retro vgs be part of their downfall...?

Bismarn2855d ago

It's ludicrous to say Indiegogo is on a decline. You have to have had a rise first before you can have a fall.
