Edge of Twilight, an upcoming action-RPG from developer Fuzzeyes, seems to have been on the edge of darkness for a very long time. First announced way back in 2007, legal wranglings and company layoffs led to development being halted in 2009. In December 2012, the game was unexpectedly resurrected by the developers. Since then, little has been heard about the game, which involves a steampunk style world caught in a war between the darkness and the light, and the halfbreed character Lex who can travel between both realms.
After a prolonged development cycle, Edge of Twilight: Return to Glory ultimately falls short due to a lack of polish, not enough to write it off entirely. #edgeoftwilight #fuzzyeyes
Josh Griffiths writes: "It’s still amazing that a crowdfunding campaign sprouted out of nowhere for a game nearly a decade old. It was only in May 2016 that Edge of Twilight made a triumphant return on Indiegogo. Its developer, Fuzzyeyes, needed funding to finally bring the game out of developmental hell and release it into the world. Unfortunately for them, nobody seemed to care."
Indiegogo is one of the first crowdfudning sites, and the Angry Video Game Nerd seemed poised to make the site a dominant force. So what happened?
It's ludicrous to say Indiegogo is on a decline. You have to have had a rise first before you can have a fall.
