"The Last of Us is my favorite game of all time. It hit all the right notes when it came to story, characters, and gameplay throughout an emotional journey of a man and an adolescent girl trekking across the U.S. It’s an emotional roller-coaster the whole way — a daunting, and unforgettable experience. Anyway, you know all of this, unless you’ve been under a rock since 2013. Now, The Last of Us Part II is coming — while we don’t know much about it, I can’t help but wonder what’s next for Joel and Ellie." -- PlayStation Enthusiast
Take-Two head Strauss Zelnick has denied closing Rollerdrome developer Roll7 or Kerbal Space Program 2 studio Intercept Games.
That's hilarious because he did and said the same thing with 2K Marin who developed Bioshock 2
They've been closed since 2013 but not officially acknowledged
He just doesn't want the backlash so pretends there's no issue.
There are no thoughtful ads in Video Games, EA. Leave them be.
I think the only type of games that can gets away with it would be sport games, having those sponsors ads on the side like on real life.
But don't put freaking Doritos ads in Star Wars or something, it breaks the immersion. If it is a pop-up ads, then big no.
One of my favorite series is the THPS franchise, and it was packed with ads, but it didn't bother me. Posters for skateboard companies, JEEP, and Nokia phones. It did sort of fit in with the game world, but that was the past, these days ad would be intentionally intrusive or unskippable loading screen type of imagery. Ugh, I know EA would do it in a horrible fashion. Screw them.
Bungie veteran and current CTO, Luis Villegas, has left the company after fourteen years and has joined Sony PlayStation as its new Head of Technology.
"I feel incredibly lucky because as part of my new role I get to still work closely with my Bungie family."
New role and more pay and still can work closely with Bungie
Hopefully bigger areas to explore just like in Uncharted 4.
Waste of time speculative article alert
A year or so back I remember telling my brother that it would be awesome if TLOU2 had infected animals like bears, etc.
It seems Days Gone has already got us covered on that front though, looks sick.
Can't wait to see what Naughty Dog will deliver.
I think they need to :
-Fill us in with what happened between part I & II, I think we'll pass 2-3 chapters in there and will culminate in Joel's death to the Fireflies' hand
-Give us a sense of how the world has changed in general, because this plays a big part of why the game is so cool, we had the army in the first one, David's gang, Joel's brother's community, the Fireflies and how they all aimed at surviving in that fungus people infested world
-Set early on the purpose of the game, probably exterminating the Fireflies
-If all I think is true, maybe introduce a new partner to Ellie, maybe a dog named Joel that will help in battle in very limited ways just like Ellie did in the first game
Anything they'll do with it will be fire, can't wait.
Not so much 'new' but expected.... AWESOMENESS!
