Maybe it's because I'm not much of a Sonic fan, but it looks like every other 3D on-rails Sonic game we've seen since the Dreamcast era. I agree, Sega should stop pussyfooting around and do Sonic Adventure 3. This constant copy and paste of Sonic is worse than what Nintendo is doing with Mario.

I don't really like the boost mechanic that much.
I like to explore the world and take everything in when I play games but these games encourages player to zip past everything.

For me Sonic was more about choosing between going fast or take your time and explore hidden areas for secrets.

This is a game that needed to be open world. A vast plain to run across would be a lot more fun than a corridor full of spikes.

They tried that with sonic boom and 06, it didn't work well. But it really is sad that Mario can make fantastic 3d open world games and the only option for sonic is to be stuck in the 90s, with linear gameplay. I do hope one day they can make the transition one day.

Sonic Generation was good, it had both classic Sonic gameplay style. I won't complain cause I enjoyed it and this is a similar game. I do hope to see more innovation ofcourse in the upcoming game.
