To be fair, many of those PS4 games are not confirmed for 2017. God of War, Final Fantasy VII Remake, etc... And while PS4 is getting KH1+2 Remix Xbox has backwards compatibility, so that's kind of an unfair comparison.

All I own is a PS4-Pro by the way. PS4 still has way more games so that's why I chose it, but the list is a bit unfair.

It isn't something they could do overnight, they would need to build many studios and half of them may fail which is why they dont even try. I dont thonk they even want to make games at all but want to charge you to use their service, they would be perfectly happy letting others make the games and they just collect subs, it seems to be their plan besides their few franchises just enough for some to hold onto their brand

True.. they definitely need more games and more studios. This is why I own both systems. The fact they don't really have a lot of JRPG's or other Japa developed games is one of my main reasons for having a PS4. PS4 will get a lot of these games and XBox One will get a lot of Win10 PC games. Best of both worlds. Works for me.

Definitely! At present, the Xbox 2017 exclusives lineup (at least when compared) is a joke.

Good thing it has Halo Wars 2 at the start of the year, cause I wouldn't expect anything else to release before E3, except some indies, and most likely all their AAA games will be delayed for the Scorpio launch a.k.a the holiday season.

PS4 has 8+ exclusive games in the first 4 or so months of the year. Demos for 2 of these games release on the store tomorrow so fans can get a taste for what awaits ahead of time. Sony is proving why they are on top, and deserve to be on top. I said that this would happen years ago, and was met with vitriol from the defense squad. First of all, I will buy the games I like, and play the games I like. However, only idiot Xbox fanboys are here making excuses as to why Xbox One has severely less games and diversity compared to PS4. It's not my fault Microsoft doesn't make the effort throughout the year. Even with delays, PS4 had a fantastic lineup of games throughout the year in 2016. Xbox had a drought, as it always does, and has also received the same amount of game delays, so if we're comparing both, PS4 still comes out ahead by far.

I can still play games whilst remaining intelligent and honest about who has the most games, the best games, the most diversity every year and going into the future. It really doesn't take long to make lists of games and compare them. And it's funny, cause it's not even the Sony fanboys noticing just how dry the Xbox is in terms of exclusive games. Everybody but the loyalists are. Weird how it was okay for people to rag on the PS4 for having "no games" or being "sparse", but not when you can prove it about Xbox. Just watch.... as XB1 experiences the sparsest lineup of exclusive games in 2017, and Microsoft will use backwards compatible games to make it seem like they don't.

It also doesn't matter how you want to avoid the facts that PS4 has better rated games than XB1, by making excuses about "Quality over quantity" - PS4 still wins and you remain salty. Xbox hasn't even had a GOTY since 2006 with Gears of War, and XB1 is still yet to receive a juggernaut new IP like Halo: CE (original Xbox) and Gears of War (X360), that defines the console and actually makes a difference. @uth11 - it allows MS to capture more people. Console gamers aren't suddenly not going to buy an Xbox One because PC players can play too. How many people here have a legitimate gaming PC and a video game console? I would say we are in the minority here. So in my case I can play my PS4 and MS first party games on my PC. Had MS not made this move, I would have played PS4 games and zero XB1 games. So by MS doing this, they gained a new audience member in me because I wasn't going to buy an XB1 just to play a few games.

Money to be made is not a bad thing. If an XB1 owner suddenly decides that they would rather spend $1000+ on a gaming PC to play first party MS titles, they are free to do so. But gaming PC's are going to be hard pressed to match the Scorpio's specs, at least the majority of gaming PC's. So console owners may want to stick with MS for now.

I know right? Scalebound, Sea of Thieves, Crackdown 3, Cuphead, Below, Phantom Dust, State of Decay 2 and more, still have no release dates yet. And that is literally all the biggest Xbone games on that console's list.
Some of these games were announced as early as E3 2013 and still don't have dates. But thank goodness that urban myth still exists for Xbone users, you know, that one where Sony, AND NOBODY ELSE, are the ones that announce games years before a release date.

Here is a list of games that Microsoft has announced and then delayed over the years and some still without confirmed release dates:

Quantum Break - Announced pre-E3 2013, delayed to 2016 in 2015.
Scalebound - Announced E3 2014, delayed to 2017 in 2016.
Crackdown 3 - Announced E3 2014, delayed to 2017 in 2016. Just where the heck is it?
Phantom Dust - Announced E3 2014, cancelled(?) in 2016, delayed to 2017(?).
Cuphead - Announced E3 2014, delayed to 2017 in 2016.
Below - Announced E3 2013, delayed "indefinitely" in 2016.
Sea of Thieves - Announced E3 2015, delayed to 2017 in 2016.
Halo Wars 2 - Announced GC 2015, delayed to 2017 in 2016.
Fable Legends - Announced GC 2013, delayed to 2016 in 2015, and then taken out back and shot.

If we can learn anything from the past, it would be that developers will make games that will work for both systems. Yes, Scorpio may play and look a little better, but that comparison will be the same what we see with the PS4 and Xbone one a few years ago, Where PS4 plays and look a little better but by not much. Developers may not optimize a game for the stronger console where it cant be played on the weaker console. This is why 3rd party developers omitted the Wii U from the development. The Wii U was too weak.

A problem? And what do we know of Switch? We don't know whats really coming out for them in 2017. Don't use hyperbole most of those ps4 games will be coming out 2017 with a few not meeting 2017 but that will be the case for all systems as usually is the case.

I for one have a good problem and seriously some games need to be delayed. I have been spending too much money on games and have had to let a few pass by because my ps4 backlog is crazy. Too many games, too little time.

There is a list of the top performing ps4 exclusives versus all the rest all ready released and it massacres all the other systems. Games releasing on ps4 isn't an issue.

The PS4 is repeating the same success they had with the PS2. Lots of games and lots of variety of games. Something for everyone.

It seems that "triggered" is the new buzzword excuse to try and negate anyone responding to stupidity on the internet. It's how you guys try and normalise the situation. You can deny it all you want, but these people do talk about other men in those long-winded podcasts all the time, and calling other men "ponies" regularly. They don't talk about gaming in ways that matter to a regular, healthy-minded Xbox fan. Bear in mind, this is a daily thing. It's always on their mind and feeds into the kinds of insecurity and behaviour that makes them do things that are unacceptable. They verbally attack the gaming media for liking what they like, and attack developers for tweeting an image of a PS4 disc of Titanfall 2, because of their own mad insecurity. Now they are attacking people they call "neutrals" for not standing up for their "cause".

Realistically, Death Stranding is a maximum of 3 years away and TLoU Part II has already been in the works for 2 years, and is another 2 years away at the very most. The vasty majority of the Xbox list don't have confirmed 2017 release dates. Microsoft just continue to delay a handful of their games so people assume that they will release in the next year, de facto. It happens when people make lists, across all platforms. Games are bound to get delayed.

Like every year the above is why PS4 stays winning. It offers quantitity but also quality with no need to compromise. While other systems just churn out sequels with nothing new, Sony offers an insane variety and also brings the quality sequels.

By the way the list is of course already rated releases and if you scan over the over 75 average meta for exclusives in each console, ps4 murders it all. These are facts not conjecture like ppl like to spit on here :)

Microsoft can release the most powerful gaming console ever ( Xbox Scorpio ) and it won't matter from a games perspective, if they don't have the first party studios to help bring amazing "Exclusive" games to the system. Microsoft needs to all take more risks, and try new ideas within their games, because their variety of games isn't that diverse "in my opinion"
Sony brings a unique variety of games for PS4, and their game developers are the best in the world "in my opinion" Sony's continuing to expand its exclusive games library.

Not to be a debbie downer but there is a number of titles in the PS4 list that won't hit 2017 (TLOU2, God of War, Spiderman and Death Stranding). Hell they even listed Deep Down, when was the last time we heard anything about that game?

Regardless, Microsoft still doesn't come close to the number of titles and possibly the quality. It's sad to say, but I have a distinctive feeling my Xbox One is going to spend most of next year turned off. Besides Cuphead, there isn't any must own Xbox One titles for me. Scalebound has my attention but it hasn't earned my interest.

Playstation 4 on the other hand has titles coming left, right and center. Many of which have earned my interest.

In addition, I would be surprised if some of the games listed under Microsoft even make it in 2017, for example, Phantom Dust. The fact is that Microsoft has put little effort into coming up with the number and kind of exclusives it would need to even start turning the tide. 3 years into this generation and the focus has been only on hardware, backwards compatibility, pointing out competitors minor deficiencies and ensuring the same information is pumped out daily so as to make it appear Xbox has something new to offer when in reality it hasn't. While I agree MSFT has some major catching up to do in exclusives, it's tough to do this kind of 2017 comparison before E3. We basically just know a handful of spring releases. I think we need to wait until E3 to get a clearer picture of their 2017 exclusives including the big holiday season.

But Microsoft big-time needs to step-up. Recore and Quantum Break were major flops. Fable Legends was cancelled. Even Halo 5 was quite meh and not a big hit, and Gears 4 quickly went to under $30. Cuphead has been eternally delayed and that's just an XBL game. It's been pretty slim pickings for XB1 exclusives. Forza Horizon 3 was very good but an exception to the rule. And most are not real excited about Halo Wars 2. So they need some real good AAA titles, whether a new original or something like a true quality top-notch Halo.

Whether these games release in 2017/2018/2019 the point is Sony keeps pumping out games regardless. I have spent much backlog and futurelog that it's insane. Much like a certain Insane Trilogy game coming out which I'm sure is just a step forward in creating an actual remake. I'm still on Ruse of The Tomb Raider thanks to a birthday present mind you not an exclusive but worth the wait, then I'll go back to the last of us and play through it again before part 2 comes out. Then I still need to get Uncharted 4. Then FFXV: yes I know also not an exclusive but definitely more favored by the PlayStation userbase. And my wife really wants the VR. Rough times for sure.

Developers get less revenue, which means less money to spend on the next project.

That's why the best games come to all platforms.

Out of all those exclusives, there's probably 2 games i would like to play more or equal to a big multi-platform blockbuster.

Exclusives are becoming a thing of the past on Xbox. Playstation and Nintendo are fine. Just because Xbox does not have exclusives anymore, does not mean exclusives are irrelevant.

In my opinion, the either the PS4 or Switch gets the prize. The only good exclusives I like from the XBO is Sunset Overdrive, Rare Replay and that side scrolling shoot em up I forgot (I would have say Gears 4 but I already have it on my PC). The only XBO exclusives I am really excited are Scalebound, Sea of Thieves and Cuphead. And...yeah that's about it. I'm not really into racing games so I didn't mentioned Forza where as for Halo, the only Halo games I have enjoyed were Halo 3, Reach and CE. Halo 2 was good but I prefer Halo 3. Halo Wars wasn't my type of game, Halo 3 ODST was atleast decent but nothing spectacular, Spartan Assault was meh, and both Halo 4 and 5 kinda disappointed me. So yeah, not much exclusives to get excited for.

Meanwhile, I'll be waiting for Pokemon Star, Zelda U, Spiderman, Days Gone, Death's Stranding, Horizon and GoW4 and hope that these games will not let me down (which reminds, whatever the hell happened to Deep Down?).

PS Now doesn't play PS4 games...
But if you're talking about PS3 games for whatever reason, then sure. The ones listed on PS Now are no longer exclusive to...PS3. Granted, they ARE exclusive to PS3 in their best, most playable, and least restrictive forms, but if you don't have a PS3 and don't mind streaming games, then PS Now is great for you. Also, the games are available on Playstation TV, Sony TVs, phones, and probably some other devices as well. Not to mention PS3 emulation is starting to become a thing. So next time you get into a fanboy war about "PS3 exclusives", you'll have this new bit of ammunition to use against them, lol.

Except you're not purchasing them and keeping the files on your PC. You're streaming them from a PS3-based server TO your PC. Without that hardware sending it to your system, no playin'. There's no Xbox streaming those games to the PC.

What is more that sony list is 90% filler. I bet if the writer had included every indie game on the Xbox it would be around the same length.
Finally, no switch games have been fully confirmed so that is also nonsense. I dont even see Skyrim on the switch list and it was on the cm.. lazy.

I don't have Xbox One but i will play every single Xbox One game. Because I have PC. So that's means Xbox brand doesn't have any exclusive games. Because i don't need Xbox for play Forza 3 or Gears Of War but i need PS4 for play God Of War or GT Sports or The Last Of Us.

Except for the fact you need an Xbox Live account to play Gears and Forza on PC. So in terms of Xbox brand not having exclusives is wrong, not needing an Xbox One would be correct if you played on PC. Unless those games released on Steam or something, you need an Xbox Live Account(Microsoft Account).

Edit: IDK how you could disagree with facts people. Beliefs don't change facts. Facts are you need a XBL account to play Gears and Forza through Windows 10. You need a Microsoft account(Which is the same account for XBL because a Microsoft account encompasses all of their products) to buy these and play them on Win 10 PC. This list seems a little misleading and needs some caveats. First all three consoles have some great games that I am looking forward to...so bravo to all of them. However, most of the games listed on the PS column were no name titles and/or remakes/re-releases (and in some cases aren't exclusive AT ALL)...so by that logic, you need to include every BC game that X1 has that PS4 doesn't. Flooding a list with 95% games that NO ONE knows about or will play doesn't provide value. ESP these days when the idea of "off season" means nothing....more often than not, the problem is too many games to play...so an obscure excluisve means nothing if it doesn't replace another game you are playing. In GENERAL, PS announces their games much further in advance than the other two (is Deep Down even sill in production at all?). While there are 3 games on the PS list I REALLY REALLY want to play, most of those games I couldn't care less about...in that short Switch list there are 3 (and a fourth that wasn't listed), and on the X1 list...the MAJORITY of that list I want to play....and while the lists are shorter...I care more about the games for Switch and X1 (not to mention in most cases I'll play most of those games before the second PS exclusive I care about even comes out). So certain people beating their chests over this set of lists might want to take a step back.

I have always been a fan of the big three consoles as long as each of the 3 has existed...just cause I say it like I see it, does not mean I'm a fanboy. Sorry if I don't think Sony is perfect. My point was that, eventhough Sony has a longer (fluffed) list...DOES NOT mean it's "better". Without these lists, 99% of gamers wouldn't know anything past Horizon, God of War, TLoU 2...and maybe Days Gone or Death Stranding. As it stands, PS4 has the most exclusives out of the consoles by a mile. Its not just quantity too; there's a lot of quality titles within the lineup.

I'm sure there will be exclusives that have yet to been announced yet, Forza 7 for example, that will come out in 2017.
Also I doubt the following games will be released in 2017 -

Deep Down - the game's vapourware FFS
Dreams
FF7 remake
God of War
Rime - now a multi-platform game but I doubt we will see it next year as the gameplay footage previously shown was found to be a CGI mock-up.

Owning both a PS4 and XB1 my most anticipated are Ace Combat 7, Detroit, Ni No Kuni 2, GT Sport, Crackdown 3, Sea of Thieves and Scalebound.
