Ever since Halo 3 had its exceedingly popular and successful public beta testing phase, everyone else has been trying to replicate such success, if only for the potential marketing benefits it could pose due to the extra hype. However, so far Sony's attempts haven't necessarily gone to plan. Will Insomniac succeed where others have failed?
While it's been on ice for as long as it was around, the Resistance franchise has no shortage of quality.
My take:
Single player
3, 2, 1
Multiplayer
3, 1, 2
Overall
3, 2, 1
I beat the lengthy single player in 1 multiple times and spent hours in the online too. Plus 1 featured my home town! Special mention to the audio design in 1: playing that with surround headphones blew me away.
Note: I have the platinum for Resistance 2.
I only played the 3 main Resistance titles. My ranking would be;
1. Resistance 3
2. Resistance: Fall of Man
3. Resistance 2
Man I loved 3's campaign. Another gem stuck on the ps3 and who knows if insomniac will go back to the franchise.
Konami has shared an announcement on the official Metal Gear portal site stating that the online services for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be terminated on May 31st of 2022. This only affects the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions. Both MGSV itself and its multiplayer component Metal Gear Online will be shut down on that date. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will also lose its network service on the same date, but this time it also affects the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game.
MGS4 servers were closed after only 4 years, by the way https://www.metalgearinform...
I played this game recently. This is a problem because infiltrating online bases is by FAR the best way to get money.
During the actual game i made a few mill doing story missions, and procuring equipment, but with the online wallet, I had 100m+ in a few hours.
Not to mention you'd need to create online FOBs to max your gear.
Was hoping there would be a next gen patch to make the idroid a little less laggy. Really, a masterpiece of a game.
We’ve seen custom servers bring loads of online PC games back from the dead, and emulation has provided a way for plenty of old console games to live on modern hardware. You probably see where this is going. Yes, a group of enterprising fans have put together custom servers to bring back the PlayStation 3’s take on Metal Gear Online, commonly known as Metal Gear Online 2.
I play this and I would just say the skill gap is as large as ever. Headshots are key, and most players seems to be able to quickscope anyone from anywhere. This was always a thing on PS3 but it's even more pronounced due to higher frames rates on the rpcs3.
It's the toughest online shooter I've played in a long long time.
from what i seen the Private beta didn't have any lag. But the Public is going to be in a Much wider scale (ratio about Private testers 200: 10000+ Public testers) But IG knows the big jump that is going to happen and hopefully it would work out fine.
Insomniac needs to start all over again with resistance 2 because the graphics are awful and will be abliterated with awesomely insane graphics of gears of war 2
The private beta is what they will use to improve the game. The public beta is nothing more than for people to experience the online. Public beta is comming out in October and that is not enough time to implement the changes if there are any to the release copy of the game which comes out during November 4th. ALTHOUGH they could use the public beta to create a patch which they may release shortly after the game is released!
resistance 2 will own gears 2
isnt that what a beta is for?
