Paul writes "With July on its way out we take another look at what everyone has been playing during these final few days and doing half-assed analysis of the steam stats. The Top 5 is largely unchanged this month, the top games having only shifted around a bit. ARK: Survival Evolved is now sitting in third place due to its free weekend happening right now. In spite of some issues with the new Team Fortress 2 competitive mode, it’s still going strong at 4th place and the recent Humble 2k Bundle might have something to do with Civilization V‘s appropriately 5th place."

Far better games have been released in this genre (Dead Space Remake, Alien Isolation, Alan Wake 2 etc).

Tried to get into Fallout 4 on 3 separate occasions when it first came out and was just not in the right mood for that kind of combat, now Its fully got its hook in me. And a bit of Overwatch.
Late to the game and have been playing mass effect for the first time. Good game and much better than I thought it'd be.
