Dead Rising 4 Will be at E3 2016 and is Going to “Make Fans of the Series Very Happy”

Two days ago we reported that Dead Rising 4 is in development at Capcom Vancouver and may, or may not, have an exclusivity deal. Today, we can follow up on that news with the rumour that Dead Rising 4 will indeed feature at this year’s E3 and will “make fans of the series happy”...

I won't rage if it is still xbox exclusive, but man fingers crossed this is multiplatform. DR3 was my most fun launch game of this gen. I can see them doing great stuff with this one. DR3 was great

Which fans... The game has been on the Xbox and not PS so... Most likely it'll continue its trek as a pc/Xbox exclusive or maybe this time all multiplat... But it's silly to think an Xbox exclusive has fans that don't have the Xbox or haven't been fine with previous exclusivity.

You said once that GTA, Metal Gear, and these kind of franchises are PlayStation franchises that should be played on there (within words, not specifically). So I guess Dead Rising is actually an Xbox game, in other words, the game is most likely right to be played on Xbox.

I don't own a XB1 anymore. I own a decent PC and a PS4. Even if I had a XB1. I would hope it would come to PS4. Simply because most of my friends of PS4 only. So if possible I would like to co-op with them.

This is a series that doesn't have any appeal to me. Admittedly the only one I have played was the second one but I didn't like it. I didn't care for the timer and I'm not a fan of the mechanic in any game where you spend a lot of time creating a weapon only to use it a couple times and have it break.

All crafted weapons/vehicles have EXTRA ammo and take 0.15 seconds to craft (crafting lvl maxed) in DR3. The game was so fun I bought the season pass

DR3 didn't feel anything like the first two games, I didn't care for them but I did enjoy Dead Rising 3 immensely. If you didn't care for the first two games you're doing yourself a disservice by writing off Dead Rising 3 because its head and shoulders better than the first two.

Aside from performance issues DR3 was the best launch game I played and that goes for both X1 and PS4. Hope it goes multiplat so everyone gets to play it but I'm excited for it regardless

I hope to play it on ps4. It's the only XB1 game I wanted to play. Had some time with dR3 at a friends place at launch and it seemed cool and huge. I won't get all fanboy crazy if it's exclusive to XB1 and PC but I was debating getting a sweet laptop replacement for the homestead. Being using tablets/phones primarily but was thinking of upgrading our laptop. If that happens I will make sure it has some gaming capabilities and maybe won't miss out on DR4.

Of course they could go multiplatform and we can all enjoy DR4 together

DR has always been on the xbox and DR2 Sold better on the XBOX 360. most if not all fans are on Xbox. So again why would MS have to cut Capcom a big check? Oh that's right 40 million consoles shipped means everyone would have bought the game. How that work out for SF5?

As for MS spending money. Who are you to tell them how to spend their money. MS has been investing in games since the beginning of this gen. Because their not flooded with indie games exclusive. Doesn't mean they aren't investing money into games.

First off no one is saying Capcom is giving the game away for free or out of the goodness of their heart. But the fact that you act like MS has to cut them some big check when they don't. MS can offer to pay for advertising and still come out cheaper then what your trying to claim.

Like I said every DR games has came out on the xbox. DR2 Sold more on the x360. It's a no Brainer.

The problem with you and every Sony fan boy is you think 40 million consoles equal 40 million games sold. As I said before how that work out for SF5 which still hasn't sold over 1 million and it's on pc also.

Obviously, no one is saying every single PS4 owner is going to buy the game. Not a single game on any console, ever, has been bought by all users. You're just being deliberately stupid now.

And I don't care how popular DR is on MS consoles, I'd even admit it would probably sell more on the xbone, but missing out on 40 million potential buyers (potential buyers, don't start being stupid again) is a huge loss. If you can't get the simple concept through your head that capcom would need to be compensated for such a loss then no amount of explaining is going to help you understand.

It was a great game and was always fun finding new weapons combos. It could have used a Lil more work on the frame rate but besides battlefield 4 it got me through the first year of the X1 life. Hopefully it will go multiplat so it can sale better so the series will continue. I own all current generation systems and out side of 1st party studios I'm not a big fan of console exclusives.

Love this series, I hope they bring back all the characters from 1 thru 3. Have co-op like the expansions of 2 and 3. It would be cool to see that type of Dying Light gameplay but with the whole Deadrising design.

Considering that only Dead Rising 2 and the "What if?" alternate version of Dead Rising 2 are the only multiplatform titles in the franchise and Playstation never even got the prequel and sequel standalone DLC/expansions for DR2, I'd honestly be surprised if Dead Rising 4 is multiplatform.

Hopefully they copy what DR3 brought to the table. The time limit in that game was really long so you could mess about and side track for a much longer period of time compared to the other DR's.

I really enjoyed DR3, and am excited for the next one. I don't mind the cheesy storylines and cut scenes, if the gameplay is solid.
