Infinite Undiscovery: new video

Square Enix reveals a new video of Infinite Undiscovery, scheduled for September 5th on Xbox 360.

I was still unsure if I wanted to get this game, but the video made me more interested!

For some reason though... The characters faces remind me of Shenmue.

The one thing about this game that still has me questioning it is the way the characters move. It just looks a little too stiff!

Blue Dragon, to do everything through 3 discs, only took me about 50 hours (amazing game by the way). Not that long considering disc total. So what will this game be, 25 hours? Not what I'm hoping for.

I'm hoping Tri-Ace deliver that 150-hour experience similar to Star Ocean: Till The End of Time, but we'll see.

That's what I am hoping. Anything 50 hours or less would be kind of a let down for me. Do you happen to know how many disks it will be on? I also agree if they deliver 150hours of epic game play, that is just win all around!

It's going to be 20-25 hours. It's short for an RPG, but the game does look great. The combat system looks amazing. I hope there are lots of sidequests.

I am gunna skip this game. Not because of any negative reason, but because Disgaea 3 is in stores tommorow. Which everyone knows Disgaea(s) can take 50-unlimited hours to finish. Then the NEXT freakin day is Tales, which takes 60ish hours to beat the story alone.

If I'm not mistaken, from some of the videos I've watched Microsoft has a hand in publishing. Plus, it's the Unreal Engine, works like garbage on PS3 (hence Star Ocean 4 360 exclusive and The Last Remnant timed for 360...maybe cancelled for PS3)

Sony gets solid support in the form of Disgaea 3, Valkyria Chronicles and exclusive content with their version of Eternal Sonata.

actually, SO4 isn't offically an exclusive, hence no mention about timed or exclusivity during the conference at E3 when they clearly stated both timed and exclusivity for UI and LR.

LR is not going to be cancelled either, i don't think so i don't know where you're getting your info.

The Last Remnant issues seem to be similar to the process of Frontlines earlier in the year. I should also point out that Square at this point is in the game for profit first and foremost, not to cater to fans. I think that's an obvious point right now after their disgust with last year's financial performance. If the development lags, Square will cancel the PS3 version.

As for SO4, until I see otherwise, It's 360 exclusive to me. I gave the same credit to FFXIII, so hey! Who knows?

Regardless, I am making assumptions...but that's why I said maybe ;)

EDIT: That and the fact this isn't 100% pro-PS3 should basically write me off as being credible on THIS site ;P.

Still, something tells me SO4 is exclusive...I love my PS3 and Sony and all, but things are changing this gen. The FFXIII multi announcement, Square's support with IU, TLR, the spaceship game last year, SO4 for now being exclusive...I followed Square last time with the Sony movement from Nintendo (FF gamer since 1990)...the signs are similar folks only now the industry is so exploited it's easier to follow than just reading mags!

so going by your logic about finance and development they will cancel the 360 version of XIII since it's being ported right?
Square is trying to sway in the western market, the PS3 and Wii are also part of that, unless you didn't know.

Star ocean 4 uses the Crystal Tools engine soo a ur whole "hence star ocean 4" statement gets thrown out the window... and last remnant is timed exclusive and unreal engine works fine on the ps3 just takes devs a little longer to get it right.

Sorry guys, I thought it was on UE3. Thanks for clearing that up. Oh and through my many PS3 game experiences with the UE3...no, it works like garbage. The only game that worked swell was UT3 itself. Everything else stuggled with framerates and screentearing in comparison to the 360 version or just didn't look as good, textures etc. (ex. Turok).

what sold me on the game was the combat system... when I watched the IGN videos a week or so ago and so there was a seamless transition from exploring to combat (with 0 load time) and everything was real time, i was ECSTATIC

people who dont give the game a chance are idiots, huge idiots. first off yeah graphics arent all that, who cares, its not hideous, just isnt gorgeous. and no this game wasnt possible on ps2, all the things u can do in the game is where the game shines, its a great game. now the story by itself is like 25 hours, plus all the side missions and replayablity shud boost it over 50 hours+ star oceans 3's story was like 40 hours but it had so much stuff and extra's that i got over 200 hours in it.

Looks awesome. The combat system looks very good. I've always liked Tri-Ace's games. 360 owners will have an rpg packed holiday to look forward to. Both jrpgs as well as western rpgs look really promising.
