Woah, it looks great!

Is this going to be on Steam? *checks*
Yes it is :)

* Looks good, but they got rid of the fog.

The fog literally made that game's atmosphere.

It was scary when you didn't know if a raptor would pop out of the fog or not.

They should have kept it as an option, I'd rather play the N64 version, but still cool they did this.

DigitalRaptor3073d ago (Edited 3073d ago )

Hmmmm that's true. It's been a while since I played the original on N64.

Still excited, but if that is the case, what a shame. It reminds me of the Silent Hill 2 remaster where they removed the fog. Still excited though.

Smokingunz3074d ago

Omg! This game bri gs back so many memories! This game is legendary and showed what the n64 was capable of at the time.they shouldve gave the game a more modern look though.i wish this was coming to xbox live.

ape0073074d ago

such a legendary game, now please remake (not remaster) Turok 2 and shadow man

not much needed to be said about the excellent turok 2 but shadow man, that game is one of the best games I've ever played, masterful, atmospheric, well designed, great story/voice acting and EPIC SOUNDTRACK

k2d3074d ago

The nostalgia is strong in this one.

Reminds me about what I miss about Tomb Raider in the Remake - The devs relying upon that you can explore an environment without being fed action or suspense every five minutes

Spend an hour exploring and navigating an environment while trying to figure out the way forward. All the while being accompanied by minimalistic or no music.

The Turok series has been languishing without a new title for more than a decade. It's about time we got a reboot.

I'm all for it, I loved the originals... I just don't think, just like w the original Prey, that the main character can survive in this current political climate. Native characters seem untouchable at the moment. I think it can be shown the right respect, but there's always someone getting upset about something these days, they would find a way to cancel it.

BriBri362d ago

I can't think of a game that's been cancelled because of the race of the main character.

Vits362d ago

Honestly, I would prefer if they just ported/remastered Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion to modern platforms. So we could have access to the "original 3 games". Because I don't see how to really reboot Turok. It's a product of its time being a mixture of platforming/fps and puzzle.

And I really don't see all those elements being preserved on a Reboot.

potatoseal362d ago

I would prefer Dino Crisis remake from Capcom. Still, a remade Turok would get my attention.

FreeckyCake362d ago (Edited 362d ago )

Forgets about the 2008 reboot*
I'd rather have a sequel to Turok 3, tbh.

GoodGuy09362d ago (Edited 362d ago )

We unfortunately do not have enough quality dino games. Theres Horizon but they're robots, and Monster Hunter that I can only think of. I'd like to see Turok make a comeback some day.

Although the late 2000s Turok wasn't my favorite, I would love a new entry. Open world survival with shotguns and dinosaurs. Not sure how we'd get the fusion cannon, but that would be pretty sweet too.

MadLad614d ago

Lol

All of these games are pretty much universally praised. Outside of Timeshift I literally own all of these.

Venoxn4g613d ago (Edited 613d ago )

XIII, The Darkness 2, Far Cry: Blood Dragon, Timesplitters: future perfect, Bulletstorm are awesome games

gurp14d ago

I played them all, they are all good in their own way
I used to be obsessed with FPS games
