Sony Europe trademarks Dark Cloud, Rogue Galaxy, The Mark of Kri, and War of the Monsters

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe just trademarked several titles from its PS2 catalog.

Never owned a PS2 or any PS console actually but Dark Cloud 1&2 & Rogue Galaxy look awesome.

I love the art styles of both, and if I ever bought a PS4 I'd for sure buy a new Rogue Galaxy & Dark Cloud game.

huuum, im a bit skeptical about this, if they are sequels then........ HOLY CRAP, but most provably its just their ps2 to ps4 emulation thing and if reports are true then only digital. but i seriously doubt they are sequels

Shame we have to buy again though.. I have Rogue Galaxy, War of the Monsters still on disc for my PS2.. can't use that. PS2 classics from the PS3 aren't compatible either on the PS4.. so, whatever games you bought on the PS3 (PS2 classic), you'll have to re-buy for the PS4.

Er...no, you DON'T have to buy them again, it's YOUR choice. Why did you keep the games and not the console to play them on? You can pick up a PS2 dirt cheap, why not just do that if that's important to you?

I still have my PS2 and disc games.. my comment was that the PS4's backward compatibility isn't disc based or even compatible with the PS2 classic downloads available for the PS3.

Everything PS2, for the PS4 - will have to be re-bought, whether or not you bought them in the past.

Damn, Sony ain't playing with PS2 Emulation on PS4, bringing some of the best games back to a new generation of gamer's.

Sadly, there'll be no PS2 disc compatibility...but I don't own PS2 discs any more, so won't affect me, but for those that do, it would've been nice /

I could be wrong and I'll wait to see what happens at PSX.but ps2 emulation seems to be some of the top games upscaled to work on ps4.with games being sold on PSN for a small fee.and not full-scale BC like some gamers seem to want.

Want full BC?keep your ps3 fat or ps2.
