Keep in mind that in order to be applicable for this list, the original games must have been released during the 16-bit era or earlier. Anyway, let's start this look back at some of the best retro remakes ever produced for portable play.

First I would like to have the originals easily available again. Than the remakes, that way it's assured that the classic version is still "gettable" in case de remake sucks or take unwanted liberties.
I own and have played almost every game on this list. All outstanding choices!
