We posted this as part of the Nintendo press release published today, but I figured it was worth a post of its own. There’s news about even more games for the Wii U eShop – notably Octodad and Shantae: Risky’s Revenge. Trine 1 also has a release date, which is something I know you guys have been interested in!

Ricardo Negron of The Koalition writes: What a year it’s been for Shantae fans. Back in March, WayForward celebrated its 30th anniversary by releasing Shantae and the Seven Series, the fifth and latest game in the series, in its entirety for Apple Arcade, and made available to all consoles in May. I wrote a comprehensive review which you can read here. Then back in July, WayForward announced that Shantae: Risky’s Revenge – Director’s Cut, the second installment in the series, would finally be ported to the Nintendo Switch and Xbox One.
This is a great pickup for fans of the series and those interested in a cool platforming title.
IMHO, while this game is far from the best the series has to offer, it's still very much worth playing.
Shantae: Risky’s Revenge is a bite-sized adventure packed with charm and action, making it just as fun today as it was a decade ago.
Never Alone and Don't Starve: Giant Edition are also on the roster!
I'm glad to see a lot of really good quality titles coming!
What's amusing is that the Wii U has the larger list of games, between it and the 3DS.
