Played the first one for the first time when I bought my Wii U back in may ( never owned a Wii), and it was fun, but I prefer the N64 style levels.

* I did like some of the levels that let you explore a bit, so hoping for more of those in SMG2.

Motion controls suck and I played every Mario game up to Super Mario Sunshine(Which is one of the most original 3D Mario game ever) and skipped the Wii Mario games. I definitely don't plan to play it now either since the Wii U does not come with a Wii remote and they suck anyway. You only loose your soul if you are a Mario fan since the original and think Galaxy is the best in the series.

The galaxy games are debatably the best games of last generation. The level design, music and style were mastered. Without the motion controls, a lot of the design and gameplay would be dumped down. The motion controls are implemented spot on. The star bit mechanics would not be possible, pressing a button and doing a spin jump would make it harder to multi task and would be a nightmare, as well it is just so satisfying. You honestly have no say if you never played it. The game s a masterpiece.

If the game supports classic controller then you can use gamepad and if not you're out of luck...

Europeans are lucky... The Last Story, Sin and Punishment Star Successor, Pandora's Tower, etc is coming to Wii VC.

Sin and Punishment was such an underrated game on the Wii (if you like shooters). Great graphics, fast and difficult to the point that I >almost< lost it a couple of times. Highly recommended.
