incredible numbers for an Indy game, one of the best games of 2014, has the best one of the best RPG systems ever, hope they invest the funds into making a big AAA RPG.

Almost bought both for under $10 combined during STEAM sale but the backlog is too big. So many games I need to play first.

I love the art styles in both though.

Bought Bastion. I loved it. Bought Transistor. I loved it. I look forward to the devs next release. I'm hooked.

They probably would have reached a million if they released it on the X1 and WiiU. I'm baffled that small developers like this simply ignore gaming platforms like the WiiU/X1.

Sevir3398d ago

I doubt they ignored it all together! Sony probably saw its potential and courted them given how sparse the first year would be for them with Big AAA releases, and then of course MS's Indie program wasn't fleshed out for xbo till late 2014. Sony was just on a big shopping spree courting the Indies so it made sense for them to go with PS4 since their indie program was simple and supportive.

It was a good deal by Sony but it was a pretty stupid deal by Supergiant Games, accepting a few bucks to go exclusive and losing hundreds of thousands of sales. Well... it's their loss.

Reason is simple microsoft isn't indie dev friendly. Don't get me wrong Id@xbox definitely helped improve relations but devs don't easily forget and forgive. And judging by Xbox console sales gamers don't easily forgive and forget also.

YES imo this game really deserves it one of my favorites2014.
