The 7 Crappiest Christmas Cash-in Games

GamesRadar - Christmas is great. As a result, a lot of people like it. But, as is the case with everything a lot of people like, there are folk out there more than ready to capitalise on its popularity with Distinctly Less Than Great products. Despite modern games not lending themselves too well to seasonal theming, history is littered with fairly stinking releases designed to cash in on the finest reindeer and snowman-based holiday of all. The '80s and '90s, with their quick development turnarounds and cheap publishing costs, were a particularly dark period.

I remember playing Elf Bowling as a kid, I liked it lol

KingWookiee3431d ago

Speaking of bowling games, am I the only one who wishes that they would make a new Flintstones bowling like they had on PS1. I had a ton of fun on that game.

GokuSolosAll3431d ago

Mario Bowling would be phenomenonal.

How dare you? Elf Bowling is a classic!

sungam3d3431d ago (Edited 3431d ago )

Elf Bowling was AWESOME!

If you got it just right, smashed the ball into the gutter on the left/right, it would jump up over the gutter and kill the penguins/deer or other animals on the side line.

HILARIOUS!

Loved these games back on the Amiga. System 3 need to release a C64 pack with Last Ninja and Myth too.

I do wonder how these games hold up today. I loved Robocod when it first came out, but help me that feels like a past lifetime, it’s been so long. The Amiga days were great.

Three Terrible Games to Play Instead of Celebrating Christmas

Hardcore Gamer: The holiday season is upon us, and thanks to increasingly rampant commercialism, it’s better than ever before. Unfortunately, the whole “friends and family” thing hasn’t quite died off yet, and Christmas is still very-much infested with cheek-pinching, mistletoe-dodging, and gift box-shaking aplenty. However, thanks to some advances in technology over the past few years, acknowledging your family during these trying times is a Facebook “like” away. Don’t let them fool you into caring. Instead, play some video games. Awful, disgusting Christmas-themed video games.

why just why would anyone want to do that. what a worthless article

LogicLee3797d ago

You know, Jesus suffered for your sins, and being that Christmas is his celebrated day of birth, it's only fair that you suffer as well. Merry Christmas!

_QQ_3797d ago

Aliens CM,Beyond two souls, i'm thinking either ryse, knack, or walking dead for the last one. Merry Xmas everyone.

ForgottenProphecy3797d ago

Beyond Two Souls wasn't by any means a bad game. It just wasn't as good as Heavy Rain. If you're talking about Survival Instinct, then I have no problem with Walking Dead up there, but the TellTale game is fantastic. Knack was also just okay, but it could have been a lot better.

Yui_Suzumiya3797d ago

But Beyond: Two Souls is the #2 greatest game ever made behind The Last of Us. The Walking Dead is also great. Aliens: CM was decent but nothing big.

Excuse me, Elf Bowling maybe terrible but that is what makes it AWESOME haha, good times, goooood times.
